Hard modes that reward items are not part of the main scenario.Maybe SE should then also nerf the slime boss in Copperbell Mine (normal) ? You know, the boss fight with the bomb, that have a one shot kill if it explode in your face.
Or Tam Tara (hard) 2nd boss, the moment someone do an AoE attack.
One shot mechanics exists so the players have to evade specific attacks or to find out how to not trigger them.
This would also include the primal hard trials.
That is reason when I die as PLD and back to the scene, will have nothing avail for take back groups. Flash is off (mana zero and the combo for regain mana require 6.5s for each iteration, that barely suffice for 1 flash), the only dps aoe is cd (and if not, used once it will not reaggro anything), and all the rest is single target. And healer yelling at me for half map against himThere is one thing i do find a bit of a bane actually, is when we die, specifically when healing, is that we are shoved straight in battle again as soon as we are revived with no chance of passive MP regen or even TP regen for the melees and certain skills might even be on CD, more so for tanks since they have no way to restore TP.
So, maybe give everyone half MP and TP for this trial, I think full MP/TP would get exploited.
To be honest, when I get this duty on roulette, I will do my job at its best, but when people ragequits and 2 or more are gone, I will say goodbye too.
Well, since his legs are outside of his hitbox (red cicle below the boss when you target him), if your canon AoEs don't touch that red circle, the boss won't take any damage.
So, yeah, I'm almost certain that shooting at his claws only without at least touching his hixbox won't even scratch them enough to send Vishap do a manicure after his victory.
... but since I said "almost", I'll run it again when I'm back at home just to be sure.
I got lucky and managed to one shot this trial on my first attempt! lol!!!That being said, it was pretty difficult and we barely pulled it off with a fraction of a second to spare. Had anyone in the group been anything less than a good player (such as an average or bad player) we would have had to redo it. I can see how many groups have issues with this trial.
If they're needed, they're part of the main scenario.

You can't even do 2.5s main scenario quests without doing the original (Hard) mode Primals, let alone 2.55s. That effectively makes them part of the main scenario now, at least insofar as arguing about anything like a difficulty curve goes.Players must first complete the main scenario quest "Let Us Cling Together," and have completed The Bowl of Embers (Hard), The Navel (Hard), and The Howling Eye (Hard).

Wait? What? O.o If something can kill you with one shot from full health, how is that not a one shot mechanic?
EDIT: I read all the posts and it seems that you argue that "something that has the potential to one shot" and "Something that has a 100% chance of killing you" are two different things. While this is true, it is also true that the end effect is the same. You were at 100% health, took one hit, and then where at 0% health. They both are one shot mechanics.
