well yeah now that I look back, coil wouldn't really be an accurate example, but it's still more difficult than that of the Chrysalis or the other primal trials, so the difficulty needed to be curbed some. While I myself don't mind it being nerfed a bit...I got a good laugh out of this part. At best its a little under current T5 difficulty which is already nerfed via overgearing/Echo buff and even then in my own opinion it isn't near the difficulty beyond some communication.
If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.

Well usually things get harder when its further along, so it makes sense to be harder than even Chrysalis wouldn't it? That said as of now its been nerfed so we'll see if people are still having the same problems with it or not.

Yeah, but I never heard near as much complaining about Chrysalis than I have SoD. Personally, I didn't find it all that difficult. Though at minimum ilvl, I can see how people can struggle since the dragon killer alone won't be enough to kill Vishap.

So another instance becomes faceroll easy. It wasn't even hard to begin with, and mine and most pugs beat it in 1-3 tries. As another poster mentioned... the tension was amazing and actually made the fight interesting for once.
Only thing needed was a reset instance option.

Half of the time, the problem was people abandoning it (e.g., ALT+TAB, close client) before the fight started, and if they were tanks/healers, good luck in queue. You wouldn't have LB3 with < full group and most of the time, no one would want to do anything until the group filled out. If the queue took longer than a minute for replacement, like clockwork, players start quitting one by one until just 5 minutes in, without even pulling the boss once, the raid is done. Repeat this over and over and anyone with thin patience will just stop playing the game.So another instance becomes faceroll easy. Why were people abandoning SoF instead of say Titan (which has it's DF fails)? Not because it was hard mechanically (it isn't at all), but for the reason you quoted me. People can take a few fails if they are quick to reset. People don't want to sit for 10m on a failed run because you can't reset. Not sure if you're talking storymode Titan, or HM/EX. If story, the difficulty of that fight wasn't bad (much like SoF), but it didn't require extra coordination outside of people just doing their jobs. if you're referring to HM and/or EX - you get loot from those. People are far more likely to stick around when there is an actual reward.
I really think a reset option for SoF would have helped tremendously.

Sastasha HM says hi.Notice how not a single dungeon since PS has been challenging?
Strangely enough, both of the problematic bosses are pirates. I wonder if they're trying to tell ninjas something.
Thank you for being a rare voice of reason on these forums.I really don't see the big problem with SoF getting nerfed. It's part of the story, so naturally it should be accessible enough for players to clear with little to no problem. Sure, practice should be required to get certain mechanics down, but coil-level difficulty should not be a thing in the story, or else it serves as a gate much like T5 and T9 are to the raiders, and the last thing SE needs is a gate to expansion content.
Welp, had enough time to get one try in. We had a clearly apparent imminent wipe early on despite everyone knowing what to do supposedly.
Looks like I won't be clearing this pre-nerf if the nerf hits tonight, disappointing :/
