Well RL trumps the game no matter the reason or the importance, even if I'm playing if my best friend calls and says hey want to go do something I will drop the game in a heartbeat.

That's a terrible attitude. One has to stop thinking about this as "just a game" when you're dealing with seven other real people who invest their time and effort into doing things together with you. If you drop them as soon as something more "tangible" comes along as if they are just text on a screen, then that's just plain rude.

I do Coil because it's the most concentrated fun I've had in the game to date. The last 10% of T9 was such an amazing blitz of focus and adrenaline, it was crazy. Same deal with T12 when I cleared that last night. Clearing difficult fights that you've practised over and over with your friends is a great feeling of accomplishment. I couldn't care less about achievements in this game (though I'm a fervent hoarder of them in other games where it's more relevant) and I glamour all my Dreadwyrm pieces into other stuff anyway. I do it for the experience itself, nothing else.

I agree that it's a shame that the western servers have such low Coil clear rates (I'm on Cerberus - 1.4% ain't exactly impressive), but we're just a different audience than the Japanese and most people don't grow up with competitive gaming like they do. It's part of their culture in an entirely different way than it is for us.

The Minions are available and the Louisoix minion can only be obtained by completing T13. It's not a perfect calculation since some may never pick it but it's close enough for comparison due to the law of averages. The difference between the Japanese servers and the US/EU is so stark that pointing out a few small discrepancies doesn't change the statistical significance of the data.

Just wanted to touch in after this many pages with a note. I said it was embarrassing, but I never said why or even guided the conversation to a specific reason because I wanted to see what people would say and how they would react to the data. It's been fun seeing how people make assumptions about what I meant despite how I never specified why I thought it was embarrassing.

I do want to add this though since I've seen this reply mentioned often. Just because some people don't want to do coil and prefer other content does not explain away the discrepancy. They don't have 100% completion either so obviously that aspect isn't exclusive to us and can't be the exclusive reason for the data we see here. Just some food for thought.

Why would we even care?

Personally, I am not even considering ANY Coil so why would I feel embarrassed. In contrary, I am proud to be on a server that has the lowest completion rate. Less elitism is always welcome.

If all you read my other posts too I don't do coil or statics., so no one wasting time for me cause I have asked no one to set time aside for me. So take your "your wasting other peoples time" and shove it.

You said you run pony farm groups. It's still selfish to do 1-2 runs then leave and force the 7 other players to have to look for a replacement.

That's another issue with this game. People being inconsiderate of others because they consider other players as lesser beings and treat them as such. It's another example of the "Me Me Me" culture that's so rampant in the West.

Planned coil events, I can understand, but do people really think people would forgo any sudden RL occurrence to farm ponies? Maybe I'm just not dedicated enough, but personally, when I raided, I blocked the time aside for raid and didn't drop it except for emergencies. Everything else was fair game. Yes, I would drop a pony farm if my best friend called and wanted to go see a movie or check out a new restaurant etc..
