The pre-title screen ones? Of course. If I had watched the openings for games like Nier or Tales of Symphonia or even Chrono Trigger before playing them, the entire experience would be ruined for me.

Except for the fact you're choosing to ignore posts that actually give proper reasons as to why its like this. Then again, I like being insane if it means I'm not choosing to be ignorant and only looking for attention. I already gave my point, as did others, have fun with whatever it is you are trying to do.

I play games for their story most of the time. Considering how most game openings tend to be timed to hype you up for the story, and often played after the intro; it makes no sense to skip them, imo.

and I don't know about you, but it's been advertised as opening cinematic since a month or so before it was shown. I'd consider that a mislabel on the localization team

The localization team has it correct I'd say. Trailer is usually the same thing as the opening (+ possible added text/etc) for japanese games.


In fact the opening having spoilers is precisely what makes them interesting for new players.
