Why are Mundra's the only thing that suffer from lag?

Animation delay is a FFXIVism created by the ignorant player base. This sort of thing has never existed in the industry before FFXIV. The issue is coded into the ability, yes, but it also plays on ping spikes as well or packet loss.

Any SinX from Ragnarok Online can tell you that Sonic Blow had animation delay. So no, its not just from FFXIV.

The whole issue with holmgang, benediction and hallowed ground stem from the fact that they go on CD before they actually "activate". The activation for these skills is closer to the middle of the animation, not on the actual button press.
