sorry I didnt read the first post all the way through since it sounds pretty much wut i have seen first hand, as well as seen posted on the forums before. I absolutely hate the "elitist" that treat new players like crap. Which is why I try to put out extra effort when I know someone is new to the game or to the dungeon im helping in I try to help them out, give tips if they want, explain boss fights and such. I have been here since closed beta (played before ARR but wasnt very long at all.) Yet I still dont get the poor behavior of others against new players as everyone was new at some point.

Everyone's just like, "you suck" "no you suck", everyone's trying to find out who is the bad guy, who the hell cares.
Blame the newbie, blame the farmers, blame the little midget who kicks you in the shin and steals your biscuits, it doesn't matter.

You make a choice, you live with it.
You party with people who are running a dungeon optimally and want to skip everything, suck it up.
You party with people who are fine with waiting so you can watch cutscenes, congratufuckalations, no one cares, enjoy your pissy cutscenes and make the most of it.

Now can everyone just shut up? You're all terrible, game over.

If you don't like games with story scenes, Call of Duty and every other fratboy FPS game are ------> that way.

Otherwise, you can have a stadium full of seats with that attitude of yours.

On to the topic at hand: There's absolutely NO excuse for speedrunners to be acting like this. ZERO. I don't care if you have to wait a whole 3 minutes longer to let a new player see the story as it unfolds. I really don't care if this is the 10th, 20th, or 100th time you've done that dungeon. Act your age and adjust your plans accordingly.

The icing on the cake is that the other healer just let that person stay dead, even when the boss fight was over.

Getting a raise after the boss fight is over has zero benefit, and a few drawbacks. You're taking up someone else's time just so you can get raise sickness.

Sometimes I wonder if people are just spiteful for the sake of it. I have often seen responses to the form of "get your FC to take you" or "make a PF" but let us be honest here, it's nothing more than a cop-out. I've seen PF groups on Leviathan for story content and others sit for hours and been in FC groups with newer people asking for help only for them to get ignored. No. I am sorry but if your ego and greed need to be satisfied find a better foray in which the task can be better performed. I hear Call of Duty works wonders.

At any rate this is an MMO. When you flash your e-peen for everyone it's still small no matter how big you believe it to be.

Raise burns out a lot of mana, and in the view of the full battle it is possible the healer chosen to save mana for the greater good.

Not to mention, about not raising after boss kill, 30s of run to the group are better than one minute of sickness.

Add on top of everything above, people usually does not look at healer's mana and it is possible he just cannot raise because not enough mana.

And brds obviously does not are singing that song because it slows their awesome dps. This last sentence is a rant-like and can be safely ignored

I love how the arguments people are bringing up in support of newbies can also be in turn used to support the vets.

It's why again, I'll simply state, at the start of the run, if you are new, ask if they can do whatever it is they want you to do, if they say no, then deal with it.
All these people EXPECTING things to go a certain way are entitled, noob or vet be damned.

(In all circumstances anyway, even if you have to skip the cutscenes, it's not like they're gone forever, you can literally go and watch them at your own pace in the Inn-room. So it's not like you're missing out on anything.)

Guess i was lucky.

Everyone waited for me to watch all the cutscenes in Castrum Meridianum and the Praetorium. The first thing I said when i entered was "Hi, i'm new here and I WILL be watching the cutscenes". I didn't say "can I?" because i shouldn't have to ask to watch what i leveled to 50 to see.

They were being well compensated for my presence, so they should have been glad to wait. Sometimes they just went on ahead an fought while i was watching, but i didn't mind. When a couple people bellyached about it, i simply stated "I didn't get all this way to not see how it ends, okay?"

The dps was needed at the time, you were not. That makes me seem mean and I acknowledge that. Still I stand by it, prioritizing things is a healers job.

Take it from me, since you dont seem too knowledgable about a healers job. Your decision is one based on arrogance. The second healer is your backup at the very least. What if you were to die? What if you were low on mana? Ressing a dps over a healer in anything (but coil, depending) is completely stupid.

In this case, battle at the big keep. 7 folks for a card and a new guy.

The community is only toxic because we're human. There are easy ways to make things better. Don't attache cut scenes to runs, put them outside. Don't force folks to rng grind things to the point they hate being there. these are things se should adress. The rest is just humans being human.

You mention the sold bonus like it's relevant. To many maybe it is, it's meaningless to me. Nothing you say has changed a thing. Duty Finder isn't the place to go cut scene viewing. You can't simply tell folks queuing to farm every time to hold up. Party finder, friends list, fc, all better options. Your server isn't that empty.

The game tells new players to go through the Duty Finder, not the Party Finder, not beg their FC to go with them, not watch the cut scenes in the inn later, the DUTY FINDER. Y'all c'mon... be nice and don't rush when you see the notice that there is a new player. If YOU (as in those who have done all this before) don't like watching cut scenes yet again or want to farm (these dungeons? really?), YOU should go use the PF or your FC.

The only reason I tell folks to go with their FC is to protect them from speed runners.

My FC is set up to do exactly stuff like this. We help each other out. Maybe you do need to find a better FC, OP. :/

Yeah some people are impatient asshole. I've been here for 2 month only but the community is not that good as I expected, because only less than half are FF fans and other are just normal mmo fan.

Better ask SE to remove bonus and made a separate server for FF fan and normal mmoer.
And I'm not really encourage any FF fans to come here for better game community.

See, this is a problem I'm having... what happens when all the good guys stick together and don't use the DF anymore? You end up with just the assholes left in the DF. ; ; I don't wish OP's experience on ANYONE in this game, but I can't protect everyone. :/

Rezing a healer who won't heal isn't worth the mana. He literally just stood in one spot ranting at people, t here were no heals even for himself. I'm not going to raise that. And shame on you for drawing conclusions.
