And no, sorry. For everyone saying newbs deserve X, so too do vets. PF, DF, FC it's for everyone. In every situation there's a better choice. If you go into a DF and simply EXPECT people to wait for you then you're in the wrong. If you ask and everyone agrees then okay, if you ask and not everyone agrees, sucks but it's the route you choose to take. Going with FC or PF could've been better for you. This works in reverse. Farmers (such as myself) can make it perfect by going with FC or PF, in some cases that's not avail so I duty finder it. IF this situation came up and the other healer ACTUALLY communicated about it instead of stayed silent and then ranted, there's a fair shot that the folks in the run would've said no problem. I can't know that for sure because the OP -NEVER- did anything but act entitled and pout, failing to do his job as a healer.

Considering every single response of yours attests to having a poor attititude...I would say my conclusions were accurate enough.
That you pulled this off in a duty that is ment purely for fun...says it all.

Well, m'self and 6 others are going to disagree with you. the OP lied about what he did By his own admission, wouldn't even claim it was himuntil I called him out for it, again by his own admission. Yeah, I have a bad attitude. I don't like people who feel entiteled. Being new doesn't make you special. Speak up and get help, earn your place dont ride on the backs of others and get mad when they won't hold your hand the whole way.

Not gonna lie, I hate cutscenes watching newbies when I light farm certain things. Light farming trials + cutscene newbie= 1-2 runs losted. And when it's Garuda I want to run her to the ground for light. I mean I got things I want to get done and you're adding 2 minutes to this run for a Summoning animation?

This is the attitude that everyone is trying to cull and with good reason. Much like my previous arguments with the OP, in your case a PF or FC run might have been better. Enter the DF and you get what you get, it's a roll of the dice. You can't expect things to go your way in a random assortment of 8 people and acting like you're entitled to it is just wrong. Not that anyone is getting that point, everyone just wants to feel bad for a newbie because gods forbid they could ever do wrong.

Yeah, yeah it does. SE could lose a potential subscribing customer every time a new player is rushed through content or otherwise mistreated in the DF. I've heard other vets say "Well, I was forced to skip cut scenes..." when they turn around and force others to do the same. This is the cycle of abuse. :/ Stop it.

It's a Final Fantasy game first and foremost; a game series known for it's cut scenes. Many fans want to see the story.

Anyone in too much of a hurry to sit and wait for a cut scene to play out should get a farm party and keep themselves out of the DF.

So their money is worth more than mine? False. Being new doesn't make you special at all. No more than being a vet. You're a player, pure and simple. DF isn't reserved for one or the other. IF you're in the duty finder you get what you get. If you're there to farm and end up with a group that want to go slow, then you're going slow. If you're there for the story and end up with a group that wants to farm fast, then you're going fast like it or not. Duty finder is literally throwing dice and hoping it ends up in your favor. NOBODY is entitled to forcing other people to do it their way. Nobody's money is worht more than anyone elses, that's a silly argument.

Party finder = Controlled Environment. You set the objectives and how to achieve them.
FC / Friends List = Controlled Environment.
Duty Finder = Random throwing together of 4 to 8 people each with a different attitude and way to achieve a goal, majority rule almost always takes precidence in this.

I will agree with you on this and I tell my FC mates to expect anything if they use the DF. I just wish that every new player was escorted through the dungeon at the speed they want to go. ^^ I tell folks "go with friends" for both first-time runs and farming parties. I would love for the DF to be exactly what the player wants as soon as they step into it... but I'm not a fool.

I do wish, though, that SE would add some of the following to the game:
    - check box in the DF for speed run
    - increased bonus for unskippable cut scenes & map clear achievement
    - point new players to the PF. Right now, many newbies don't even realize this feature exists, nor how to use it. Oh... and make the PF data center wide.

You're avidly defending a group of players and that's fine but there's an entire other group out there that deserve to play the way they want to. Neither should be able to force the other in any situation. Once again, just because a person is new doesn't mean they deserve an armed escort. If they're polite, ask questions, express their newness and demonstrate skill or willingness to learn, then I wish them all the best and hope that who they're with will help them to the best of their skills.

For those that simply say I'm new now treat me better, they can go to hell.

i understand the main story cutscenes and I'm generally cool with cutscenes during trials just during a good light window it annoys me. 9/10 times though DF I get a party of light farmers so it's not that bad. i ended up making a macro that says "enjoy the carry" right before I pull.
