FACT -- Neither you nor anyone in this thread knows the reasoning behind the higher cost.

Demand based costing.
They can sell it at that price, so they will. Just like they won't put it up to $200 in the US because they know it wouldn't sell for that.
Prices are determined by what they believe people in whatever region will pay for the product, because that is more than any mark up they would put on it based on the costs.

It sucks, but that's the way things go. The only power the consumer has is to not pay for it, which would then cause them to reconsider the next pricing model.

There's nothing wrong w/ stating your opinion regarding the price of a good. Will it change the price of the physical CE in UK? Unlikely. Will they still sell out at £130? Hell yes. I'm sure SE is aware of all these posts against the price, but you cannot really fault a company for trying to increase their profit margin.

As an estimate based on online UPS shipping tables, about 5 GBP per kg, max. So, for the CE to warrant 25 GBP shipping, it would need to be 5 kg, and that's using the worst rate I saw. More like 8+ kg on the more reasonable rates I saw.

I've found UPS shipping tables to never quite meet my needs. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the storefront uses bad shipping rates. I sent a motherboard box that had to be packed similar to the way Amazon packed my Tales of Xillia CE to some place in Canada (about 2533.1 miles) and it cost me $39.39 by UPS Ground.
