As an estimate based on online UPS shipping tables, about 5 GBP per kg, max. So, for the CE to warrant 25 GBP shipping, it would need to be 5 kg, and that's using the worst rate I saw. More like 8+ kg on the more reasonable rates I saw.I dont know what it costs to mass ship stuff to the UK, do you? Do you have solid proof as to where it will ship from? Someone said they ship from the UK some pages back but posted no link. Bottom line is the price isnt changing and nobody knows the reason for the higher cost. Complaining in here isnt going to do anything.
I've found UPS shipping tables to never quite meet my needs. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the storefront uses bad shipping rates. I sent a motherboard box that had to be packed similar to the way Amazon packed my Tales of Xillia CE to some place in Canada (about 2533.1 miles) and it cost me $39.39 by UPS Ground.
Canada mysteriously has shit shipping rates. >_>I've found UPS shipping tables to never quite meet my needs. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the storefront uses bad shipping rates. But to think that a company like SE would be paying 30 GBP in shipping per individual CE like he's trying to claim? Yeah, no.
Is it a Sony/Other practice? I remember that the PS Vita was launched at virtually the same numbers across the world. And I think when it first got its price drop, they dropped the price to the same number.
Edit: I mean, I think I've seen other launches of things come with the same "launch price". Vita launched $249.99 / 249.99 GBP. When it's price dropped to $199.99 it went to 199.99 GBP

I wouldn't know, to be honest. Like I said several pages back, I'm an NA customer and have never had to deal with it. >_>Is it a Sony/Other practice? To quote someone else. It almost looks like they're double applying VAT to the UK price...
I see what you mean. Now correct me if I'm wrong (seriously) but there is still one things I don't understand:
Ok to say £36 + VAT (20%) ~= £45. But France's VAT is also 20% so why is it cheaper? 49,99 euros with VAT so much less without, about 40 euros = £29, +20% VAT => £36! It's like they added the VAT twice in the UK.
I'm not a tax expert and I may be wrong on that though. It looks like it to me but there could be something I don't understand @__@ But IF my understanding is correct then yes they'd apply VAT twice (or rather just decide to put a higher price because they can).
