Since there's 24 hours in a day and I only work 8 hours per day I spend the remaining 8 hours walking to and from work so I can save gas. Makes sense, right? Almost as much sense as anima.

those dont count, they arent freebies
seriously
my suggestion still stands, no freebies, but instead a way to EARN more anima(guild marks, seriiusly, or a ton of gil)
of course im sure even with that people will then complain they dont have the time to earn it so it should still be free

3 Times Vedis remember when it was 100 anima for one port <.<wait
every patch?
every patch?
seriously?
do you know whats happened every patch? nothing
they reduced it twice so far
the first time it was a reduced cost around the board. it was pretty bad at launch
the second time, they permanently put the city teleports at half cost and introduced favorites
thats twice, thats not "every patch"
hard to compare, since you get paid to work, and you spend what you get paid to make the money for gas to trvael to and from work more
if we had a way to earn more, itd be comparable, but it isnt

ya during beta lol that was terrible lmao
it will probably get way easier to port, in ffxi witch i think is se's way. they made every part of the game harder at first, aka running to crystals first, making way threw zones first, hitting maws first, everything got easier after you accomplished it the first time.
this is what it should be like personally to me, also they having problems with launch and ps3 not even out so i'm only asuming they trying to slow us down lol. by time ps3 launches it should be way easier to get places ..from better anima costs to other transports. but right now it's just much not having them.
Betel wins the thread. This is absolutely brilliant. It makes everything outside the hubs meaningless. There is no longer a world; there are only hubs you teleport to.
If you want the ultimately convenient experience, you chose the wrong genre. Go play Diablo, Monster Hunter or Phantasy Star instead. There is nothing more convenient than them. They're also not MMORPG's. They're online RPG's.
Playing in a world that mimics real life means inconveniences. That's the trade-off. You are forced to interact with other people, forced to use means of travel to get where you want to go. That's what makes this world what it is, and Eorzea what it is- or hopes to be. If you don't think not having to interact with anyone or having to travel the world doesn't somehow cheapen the experience, I don't know in what world you're living in.
The society has turned into an individualized one where you can do quite many things without.a need for any human interaction. Are we better off like this? Lets add teleporting to the mix and see what happens to us. I wouldn't like that kind of future, even if it meant ultimate convenience; no need to wait, to socialize, to make bonds.
Then of course you're going to be biased because you don't have to worry about it, just like Foxbat. Neither of you have yet to come up with a good reason not to have free teleporting.
