    Abolishing Anima

    If you're not going to bother to read and understand it, please move on.

    Although there isn't a whole lot I absolutely cannot tolerate about this game anymore, there is still one thing that doesn't make much sense to me: Anima. Every day I log in now and I start forming a group to go grind with, which is usually shy of a Full PT by a few members, and as we grind, we wait for others who might like to join us. As much as they would like to, a few of them decline simply because they do not have what it takes to get to camp in a reasonable amount of time.

    My question is, how does limiting the most practical mode of transportation to a finite resource conducive to community play? The psychological effect that perhaps inhibits a person from even logging in could be the fact that they know that they are low on anima and there is no reliable alternative to allow them the basic joys of playing. It is a defeat no one should suffer simply because they move about often ingame.

    Chocobos are coming, but it seems their only availability will be from city-states. How long, and what will it take to get yourself from Limsa to Camp Nine Ivies on short notice? You could try to shout for a gil offering if you are low/out of Anima, but generally that's to no avail since it's consumable, and at this point is almost priceless.

    Well let's see here. If you ever played an MMO you would have had this question answered a dozen times over by now. Unless someone is running multiple accounts with a bot there is no issue. Go get a second copy of the game if it bothers you so much. When the game goes pay to play then they are paying for two accounts there is nothing wrong with that, it's their time, their money not yours.

    I do not disagree with teleporting. I do not disagree with running and/or the labor of running. What I do disagree with is having little to no option of getting where you need to be across the map in a short amount of time or at little notice. There is no class to rank up to a required level, there are no quests to complete to gain this ability.. there is nothing.

    it would be nice if you could teleport for a gil fee from each of the major cities to another major city.

    Actually, there is something... It's called "Anima"... lol...

    If you're gonna squander all yours to save a couple mins, then complain when you don't have enough to go party, then maybe you shouldn't have squandered it all...

    Granted, we do need the other forms of transportation to balance it out, but after that, I see no reason to complain about it. It's actually imo, far more lenient on the player than the old teleport spell was.

    But yeah, if you really can't see why it's not infinite, then I don't know why you're even playing the game. Why not just play some single player game and give yourself warp hack, no clip, infinite everything, etc. It's a very reasonable system, or at least it will be once chocobos and airships are implemented. Until then, take a hike, literally lol. You're not supposed to be able to just zip across the map willy nilly indefinitely. If you choose to do so too much, you run out of anima. Pretty straight forward and balanced imo. I mean, we can even share tele's with others and favorite camps, not to mention use the return command for free, making anima go even farther.

    So yeah, I vote to keep the anima system the way it is. :P

    since your other thread got closed ill just repeat myself, lol. I wouldn't mind a temp gain in anima but would like the system to be rebalanced after all forms of locomotion are ingame.
