so i hope they had that in mind, to begin with...
i mean,it's easier to just make high-res textures, and down-size, rather than make low-res and up-size, or make new textures....so why not make high res, from the beginning? for a possible texture pack; same with poly count.

That model in the picture seems to be from Zbrush, and probably has up to 10 millions polygons.
