They probably have other plans for scholar in the future which is probably better.

It would be funny if you all got your stoneskin 2 and SE was like we were planning to give scholar something awesome but we decided to give them stoneskin 2 as requested and the other skill cancelled due to it taking a slot.

Whm's were given the skill as a quality of life change. It's true, you'll run most content with one whm and one scholar so theres no point - but when using DF (trails roulette) for example and there is two scholars - it'd just be nice to be able to pop up stoneskin 2.

It's not game breaking - would just be a nice bonus :P

As a SCH main I don't really mind not having Stoneskin II. WHM is already the "QoL" and easiest healer, so it kinda fits. Scholars don't need things made easy and boring.

Thats why ALL the SCHs i know say they wouldn't play this job if they didnt have Cleric stance to allow em to DPS and thus not fall asleep because of boredom while Eos/Selene is doing everything.

That is correct, dear Sir. Our fairies indeed do "everything", since for sure WHMs in raids tend to not be able to do much.

If SCH gets stoneskin II on top of already getting our normal stoneskin, then my WHM gets succor and adlo. Deal? No? Oh.

That was besides the point and you know it. The point was that SSII was implemented because it's annoying to cast SS on EACH member of the party one by one. The game doesn't force you to bring a WHM to instances. This means that there'll be LOADS of times where an instance is being healed by a double scholar combo. WHMs get to hit one button to SS the whole party while SCHs do not. How is this fair?

WHM stoneskin is far superior anyway.

It is a big oversight just like the myriad this game has, considering the game has plenty of content where you can't decide your party composition. Guess it was too much for their spaghetti code to just bake the out of battle AoE into Stoneskin 1. They might fix it later in the 2.5 series if not by the expansion, by the time they make Rogue abilities cross class.
