^ Not everybody has the same vision quality. Many players have a hard time with the icons.
If you look at the icons for a prolonged period directly then yes, it's easy to differentiate between the two. However, in battle you're going to constantly be checking back on your status effects as well as other parts of your UI and not to mention the actual battle. As a result, it's common that players including myself have to rely on our peripheral vision to determine our next action within a split second. For example, on DRG when I see a white and purple icon lowering in single digit values, this indicates that I need to execute a disembowel + chaos combo soon for my next rotation. I don't look exactly for the pink petals or the shape of the spiked man in each icon, it's faster for me to differentiate based on color. The ninja icons share blue and purple color palettes which are difficult to differentiate. Mutilate is much easier since it's the only ninja icon that is green.
You're correct, and that's the problem. Certain fights are great for Monk, fight's where you aren't disconnect from the boss especially, but Monks have one huge caveat:
To keep up the damage they do, they have to keep their Greased Lightning 3 up as much as they can and not let it fall off, and with how much SE likes to make bosses "jump", that can be very hard.
Ninja has none of these challenges, infact, when they jump, you can reapply Huton if it's needed. Add in that it has one positional attack (Dancing Edge, is not, the Skill Description is wrong), 10% Buff to everyones damage for 10s per minute, Goad is incredbily helpful, certainly up there with Mantra and the -10% Int from DK, and the AOE Ninja has is better than monks, the class is incredibly good.
In other news, no buffs to the poor DRGs being left out in the cold,![]()
I think, MNK get a skill speed buff and NIN an auto attack speed buff, which is not the same at all.NiN gets same effect from Huton(2s GCD in pve gear and less than 2s in pvp ^^)minus dmg boost but that comes from those two venom "stances" and iirc it just gives 4% less than mnk version. But if SE needs the feel to nerf nin's at somepoint they should just tweak numbers in said venoms, it would imo be easier than going trought all skills and nerf their potencies.
If you was where I was when I saw a nin doing his opening rotation, you would have seen that 1600 crit that I saw. And my true strikes barely reach 1k.
