Patch notes up and no adjustment to Alexandrite acquisition/Hunts

that old and dated gear is still better then what most of the community still curently has..you forget you need to do final coil to even GET those better weapons and most people are still on t9 with an i110 wep.you are wanting less for something that is still more.
if i115 and i120 or even i130 was common place like i110 is now then id sooner agree but the outdated gear you speak of can beat the entirety of the final coil so its not quite outdated completely is it?

I'm asking why they made it ---->more<------ time consuming than the --->previous<------ patches.

If they adjusted FATEs to line up with the current Atma drop rates then it would make sense, but they didnt. They left the FATE drop rates the same and increased the time to obtain alexandrite from the singular "farmable" methods. (you could also say farm dungeons for soli and just buy maps that way but i have to spend soli on Animus books, Scroll ink, and Zenith oil.

Ah i see, the part about being a dps and having dps queues. Excuse me for thinking about new players and putting how they might feel trying to obtain grade IV materia for their relics.

(if you must know i'm 50 both PLD and WAR of which are my mains actually thus when i need into a dungeon i get in instantly. Not everyone has that option though.)

Who said you "have" to dungeons to get grade 4 materia? You can easily SB outside of dungeons and get all required materia without waiting for ques...

But if youre melding Grade IV, the likeliness of getting IV from i46-i50 to spiritbond outside of a dungeon is quite low, then the likeliness of getting a tier IV that you specifically want to meld is also low. The best way to obtain your desired grade IV is to spiritbond i70+ in a dungeon so youre not fighting actually getting a grade IV to begin with.

Unless it has changed it a recent patch (just got back from a break), ilvl70 should give no better chance than ilvl50 item for grade IV (or any grade for that matter). I have been SBing with my choco using HQ lvl 48 accessories only done 2 sets and got 2 IV's.

EDIT: Just Googled it. 2.35 made the changed, you sir are correct.

Following the above changes to spiritbond gain, the probability of converting gear item level 70 or above into grade IV materia will now vary depending on the item level of the gear converted.

I'm with the OP. The bar on Alex keeps rising - the quest should now be high roulette so the dungeons/time spent remains the same, the cost of buying in seals should have been lowered to match the lower seal rewards from hunts. You don't create a 2-3 month quest, then keep on raising (and lowering) the bar for it. It should be consistent.
