    I'm sad to see Hunts are dead now. It was the ONLY open world group activity in the game Please add hard leves or something we can do together as a FC/LS. I really don't like timed dungeon runs with a bunch of strangers from different servers where no one even bothers to say hello.

    The mistake was in a sense hunts. Only because of making oil/ sand available to obtain.
    Do any remember how long myth gear took to get before all these hunts and such? So yeah
    T5 is actually very easy once you done it a few times, but definately hit and miss if you join via df.

    I think they should have upped the soldiery for hunts, but poetics is fine. Imo, they shouldn't do what they did last patch until the end of this patch. Rewards from final coil shouldn't be so easy to get. Especially to get the augment gear/carbontwine/carboncoat. That wouldn't be fair to the people who are trying to do coil and everyone gets the same rewards by just doing hunts. I don't want them to go down the WoW way where everyone gets all the endgame gear handed to them. Even if many people don't do endgame raids, I still don't think it's fair. I wouldn't mind if they add the carbontwine/carboncoat towards the end of the patch/towards expansion for hunts, but not now. They should make it though could be able to get soldiery gear from hunts and maybe the unaugmented poetics gear.

    Hunts work better now, the A ranks for example was never meant to be a billion players zerging them, almost all can be done with a party of eight and I think that was the original intention and the amount of people doing them has dropped significantly so far that I have seen to much smaller groups turning up to do them both making it more challenging and fun for those that do. B ranks were designed to be solo'd or done with one or two other people if you struggle and S ranks require I think an alliance of parties. People were abusing the hunts previously because the rewards was excessive so the original design of the fights got ignored.

    The one thing I will say is I am glad especially that gives no poetics but I do think a slight increase to seals or slight decrease of the price of Blood-spattered Mark Log would be good since while the balance is okay for alexandria maps, the price of logs does not seem as balanced. Other than that I think hunts are finally working as intended and it makes the only people doing them the people who are doing them for the right reason now. I also think S rank hunts should have low chance to drop carbontwine, carboncoat or maybe better yet would be encrypted tomestone much like A rank has chance to drop Blood-spattered Mark Logs.

    We received a comment from the development team that I’d like to share in regards to the amount of Allagan tomestones that can be earned from content in Patch 2.4.

    The amount of tomestones is not only connected with content difficulty and rarity, but they’ve also been adjusted based on the calculations of the total amount yielded from all of the new content released in patch 2.4.

    With the addition of the new Allagan tomestones of poetics in Patch 2.4, we’ve made overall balance adjustments to the amounts of tomestones earned, and the following was envisioned for the beginning of Patch 2.4.
    • The Hunt would be content where players collect allied notes and enhance their equipment.
    • Allagan tomestones of poetics and soldiery would mainly be collected via instanced dungeons and Crystal Tower.

    Due to this, in order to fit the content difficulty in Patch 2.4, The Hunt only yields a very small amount of poetics from only S rank marks while soldiery has been set as a bonus, and the main currency to collect for this content is allied notes.

    When it comes to the balancing of content rewards, however, after a patch has been released we are continuously checking data for how much each type of content is being played and how many rewards are being earned. Based off of this data we will continue to make adjustments as we move forward.

    The current values are not a permanent thing, and we will also continue to make adjustments based off of everyone’s feedback.

    SE should have added a few new Allied Seal rewards to keep Hunt's from completely dying. Even if it was just glamour items.

    This makes sense, but the Q for CT (at least for me) has been as long as it was pre-2.4, so I don't think it has caught on as the best Soldiery farming area. Yes, with the right raid static, we could potentially cap Soldiery within a few hours, but it seems like so many people had Soldiery equipment by 2.4 that they only want to run ST for the loot, rather than tome accumulation. I think one of each (unmarked, oil, and sand) should be dropped to make it more alluring to repeat at a high level. Maybe even the Onion Knight can make an appearance, since the chances to lot and win on it are still pretty low.

    As for Poetics... does the yield really have to be so low? Or can we possibly have a new-player bonus for both kinds of tome?

    I feel like the rewards yield for Poetics is perfectly fine for Hunts. After all, why should people be rewarded so greatly toward new gear only to make new content dead from arrival? I will say that catching people up to 100-110 is a bit harder considering Soldiery is being used for more things. I feel like the prices for Soldiery gear is a bit too high when it comes to Allied Seals.

    But to be blunt? Hunts aren't good open world content. I'm glad that the focus from them has been moved away from and I'd rather the dev team try something new and unique rather than try to revitalize a system that rewarded players in such a way that feels ultimately shallow and really didn't teach the players to play better.

    I only do hunts to get the occasional extra alexandrite, I do the daily hunt bill (but sometimes not the more annoying fate marks) and the weekly bills. I expected a "nerf" with the new content as the way Hunts were originally implemented was kind of a cluster f$$$. I even get pissed off when a bloody log drops because you can't turn those in for alexandrite!

    I want an option to convert bloody logs into just the 250 allied seals.
