Group of friends and I did Qarn HM with 2 bards nin and a sch and we did it quite easily granted we had decent gear. It was quite a lot of fun with maybe 1-2 deaths.

I don't like speed runs I don't enjoy spamming Flash or Overpower nonstop. I also think this is stressful on healers.
I, as a tank, was kicked from a Sashashsahshshta party because I "wasn't pulling fast enough". Now, usually, I have no issues with SR, even though I hate doing them, I'll suck it up. I don't really care about the pace, I'm in no rush. But this was 2nd time in Sashashhashahsta and I wasn't near comfortable enough with a SR. Not only that, they never even mentioned they wanted a SR, they just sorta assumed I'd be okay with it. I didn't know how many mobs I could handle at once or anything. I've always hated SRs, now it's personal. Those people chose to boot the rarest role because they would rather go fast. Ironic since they would have been done before they actually managed to find a rep tank.
As another person said: The tank sets the pace. If they don't want to SR, either deal with it, leave, or be a tank yourself.
I am glad I enjoy tanking, but even if I didn't one of the reasons why I like it is that I set how fast the dungeon is to be completed. There is nothing I hate more than discourteous players imposing their own ideas of how to play. I remember I ran The Praetorium once I saw I had 3 people at least new in there watching cutscenes, and some asshat asked them to skip cutscenes. I just waited for them to finish cutscenes before pulling bosses. Hatali HM some healer kept pulling mobs because he "wanted to be given something to heal" instead of I don't know help dps. Really hate players like that.
You know just cause most of you people can't speed runs, doesn't mean the rest of us can't.
Most of you people don't even read anyway. You see the title and open you big mouths.
I want the choice to either do a speed run or slow pace. Well there's a god damn option for you to do so.
The new dungeons have boring mechanics. They are nothing special so why should they take anymore time than 10 minutes?
if I want to pull half the dungeon in one go I should. I can do that with my FC mates.
You can do the 30 minute runs while I do the 10 minute or less runs and have the same fun.
For that you deserve a cookie, I plan to do the same when DRK comes out and I make my first tank class. Sorry to those who want a SR but I will be pretty much always on the side of new players in this aspect when they are present. I care more about a new players first experience of a dungeon being pleasant and enjoyable than I do about an old player who lacks patience and compassion for the new players despite myself having run it many times before too.
I also would rather be hated by some older players who have run content a million times rather than ruin the fun of a new player experiencing content for the first time. The only time I will do SR is when no new players present and everyone says they want a quick run plus providing I feel confident enough to do so. If a healer tries to blackmail me by withholding heals if do not run it fast enough of which I have seen healers do in the past to other tanks, they will be vote kicked from the group.

Because as others have stated, when given a choice, the community has shown it'll strong arm DF parties into doing speed runs, so the "choice" isn't really a choice. If they want to add an entirely different version of existing duties to be speed run, be my guest, as long as everyone is sharing the same duties though, it's better for majority to limit the pace they can be cleared. You know just cause most of you people can't speed runs, doesn't mean the rest of us can't.

There's this thing in the menu, called party finder. In that party finder selection, there's something called "Slow and easy". If you all hate speed runs, maybe you could use that option. I know it's mind-blowing.Because as others have stated, when given a choice, the community has shown it'll strong arm DF parties into doing speed runs, so the "choice" isn't really a choice. And it's not about the parties either, it's about the MECHANICS. That's what needs to stop. The ones for the bosses like Yeti are fine. But ones like doors won't open to certain mobs are dead. Having your HP dropped to 1% to make you stop is not ok.
Same could be said for speed runs, there is option for Urgent and Serious play with high-level gear in party finder. Problem with PF is it's basically been taken over by hardcore endgamers, tried a few times to do story-focused for Praetorian for first timers to watch their cutscenes, every time it has timed out. This is a result of most casuals not even looking at party finder anymore, since all anyone ever sees are "tome bonus = kick" conditions. There's this thing in the menu, called party finder. Started out giving you the benefit of the doubt with your thread, but your last few posts have come off as aggressive and bordline attacking. Said my part, abandoning thread.
It is impossible to speedrun the new dungeons. There is not even the option to do so because of how it is designed.Same could be said for speed runs, there is option for Urgent and Serious play with high-level gear in party finder. Your post is basically "didn't read lol, bye".
Trying to push faster time was fun. Now I don't even run dungeons anymore because it's so slow, and that's in a premade. I can't imagine trying to run it in DF with dex ring drgs and str ring brds.
