Please add clearance condition to Group Finder

The main reason why I support this feature would be to force players to take the initative and starting their own parties. I see many people complaining about how they can't get their clear for whatever reason, but I see them do nothing other than wait for something to happen. They NEED to take that first step to finally get their clears - and not just moaning about it.

This is from personal experience as I once did the same. Then I realised that I can't do anything until I try. So I did. I formed up my own static and learning/clear parties - calling out to strangers for help. I forged friendships with many players along the way. Now, I'm working on T8 with a static that raids for one to two hours, twice a week.

In short, take the initiative. Don't wait. You'll just be wasting your own time. I believe this feature may be able to provide that first step for many players.

the day you can run with experienced player that means you too are an experienced player thus making this whole story a mute point...statics are a real pain a constrain, for once I am happy with DF...not sure why people complain all the time..I dont bother with coil people are totally insulting and demeaning and totally childish I stopped at T6 and personalyl will not bother further. I cant be in a static, and I cant find PF, building up I tried a few times I waited for hours at end for nothing that is a waste of time, I prefer to die a million times in a DF then wait hours for nothing.

Party Finder already excludes a lot of players, requiring previous completion on content on most of the listings. I don't see SE extending that to Duty Finder anytime soon, if ever. The game already gives you the means to join up with "experienced players." Join a Free Company, Linkshell, or form a static party that focuses on progression. Take down names of other players you come across in-game that have the experience and share the same goals to tackle game content.

The trend I'm starting to notice with the people against such a feature are those who are clearly not proactive. If you're going to be reactive and expect other players to do the work for you, you will not get very far in this game or life in general.

There's a reason why the people are able to clear end-game content. They made the effort to learn and wipe for hours till they mastered the fights. I don't see what's stopping new players from the doing the same.

Go network with other new players who are currently in the same boat that want to down similar content. It's not hard. There's also written guides and videos online from various players that outline how to do the fight. However, you still have to make the effort to go into the instance and learn each phase that is outlined in these written guides or videos. By making an effort to learn the content, you will be doing yourself a favor when you want to farm it - since you won't look clueless and get booted from the party.

Joining a party when you have no knowledge of the instance that clearly says FARM PARTY or WEEKLY CLEAR PARTY (PREVIOUS WINNERS ONLY) is just asking to be blacklisted. Keep in mind each time you do this, the number of players who will potentially blacklist or boot you in the future will multiply. It will start off as 7 players, then 14, then 28, etc.

TLDR: Don't rely on other people to hold your hand because you're lazy or don't want to make an effort to learn via LEARNING or PROGRESS PARTIES. Be proactive not reactive son!

I have a really difficult time to pug t7 if I don't exclude the players who have not cleared this turn. I admit people who cleared before may make mistakes as well. But a party without bonus Myth message is more likely to win.

100% this. If you want to learn Coil, taking some damn initiative and start learning parties. How the hell do you think most players figured out coil or started their statics? Originally our group of FC mates were 4/8 so we had to add pugs and create learning groups to figure the fight out for T6 and T7. We failed over and over until we got the damn fight down and cleared it. Now we added some new comers, including people we met while setting up learning/clear parties and have a full group going in most of the time. It just takes initiative.

I'll devil's advocate this a bit, if/when I'm in a position like that for a fight I'd ask to join a farm party. Titan EX specifically I spent about 20 hours game time being consistently last man standing without any errors in mechanics and probably top or near top in dps, before I got my first win.

This is where I'm at with Titan EX right now. I've been to single digits several times now, the lowest being 1%. I've seen everything that fight has to offer. I just haven't managed to be in a party that stays together long enough to clear it. The run we got it to 1%, a healer ragequit after the wipe. Seriously, quitting when you just got it to 1%? But yeah, at no time did I join farm parties whether it be sneaking in or asking for a carry. After a few false starts in learning parties as a tank (which I found extremely stressful and not fun in the least), I've done learning parties as a DPS and have gradually moved up to clear parties. Usually I go with a friend, and he puts in the party description that there is a myth bonus so people know up front and don't completely freak out on us. Often times I end up as the last man standing but unfortunately Titan punches much harder than I do. ;w;

Perhaps once I've actually cleared it I'll feel more comfortable with poking at it again as a tank.

Honestly, at times I wish there *was* a tickbox for "previous clears only". I can't tell you how many times we've gone to do a T5 or Levi EX farm and gotten inside to see a myth bonus. Usually the person with the bonus doesn't fess up until everyone else starts linking items or until we start tossing around the idea of kicking the people that we don't know. Then they protest that they know the entire fight, etc; usually it ends up not being true. Sorry, but wiping us repeatedly at the second set of divebombs does not = knowing the fight. If this was implemented, you could always PM the party owner if you have been to single digits and are confident in your ability to clear.

You never explained why its perfectly ok for someone who has no business to join a farm party .....

Personally, I never join the farm parties, I much rather watch them get stuck there and never get filled and wait forever on the PF. I have no interest in helping them or tricking them or do anything with them.

In any case, the PF is meant to bring people together and play together, not for people to go an exclude each other. You have do not valid justification for excluding people. Efficiency is not valid reason, by the simple fact that you are needing someone else on the PF, you are spending time waiting, you are already not efficient. The system should not altered so you can have a easy button to exclude people.

And the "clearance condition" does not equal skill, just like gear level does not equal skill. You want skilled players, the clearance condition obviously does not do that.

Don't rely on other people to hold your hand because you're lazy or don't want to make an effort to learn...

Nobody is being lazy or asking for hand holding. People should have the maximum opportunities to learn. Actually exclusive PFs, e.g. asking for farm only, should NOT be allowed. They are wrong and bad for the game and community to be excluding people from participation. If you are putting stuff up on the PF, you should be at the mercy of those kind enough to join you and not the other way around.

Invalid Arguments

Five things:

No one want wants new players in a party that clearly states FARM PARTY (PREVIOUS WINNERS ONLY).

Party Finder is accessible to ALL PLAYERS. This means that everyone has equal opportunity to create their own desired parties to accommodate the types of players they desire. They also have the ability to join a specific party that is seeking players in the same boat (farm, progress, etc.) If it is a learning party, for example, that is obviously designed for new players.

Waiting for quality player > new or incompetent player. There is nothing efficient about filling up your party with a new player who has never done the fight or practiced all the phases enough times. There is a reason why parties state WEEKLY CLEAR or FARM PARTY. The players in these parties are not there to teach you. They are there to get their desired loots and beat it multiple times without wiping constantly. YOU ARE NOT HELPING BY JOINING AND HAVING THEM WIPE FOR HOURS.

Your definition of exclusion is questionable. A clearance option just helps filter the desired players people want in their party. Party Finder is not meant to bring people together in the way you seem to think. It's purpose is to allow players to create or join parties that are suited to your needs and experience. If you join a specific party without meeting the requirements, your simply asking to be booted or blacklisted.

Stop relying on previous winning party members to help you. Sorry, but no one is obligated to help anyone in this game. If they want to help you, however, they will at their own accord. You seem to equate exclusion with the implied notion of "I want to be carried" throughout all your posts in here. It's one thing to ask players to help. However, it's a different story expecting people to carry you because you want people to hold your hand in everything.

You just want the system to give you teeth to exclude people. I sure hope SE does NOT give it to you. SE should be smart enough to see that the "clearance condition" checkbox should really be called "I am elitist and the unwashed masses of newbies better stay away" button.
