IMO, lvl 1-30 gear is junk. You can practically equip w/e you want and never die in a dungeon. Just make sure the lvl of gear is somewhat relevant to the content your doing (dont do a lvl 25 dungie with lvl 10 gear, etc..) run the same dungeons over and over again to get the loot drops to keep let side gear fresh and updated. I roll'd with lame ass gear all the time during those lvls and did absolutely fine. Left side gear is all that really matters for the most of the game and right side can just be filler till you hit 50.

99% of people that I run into in dungeons are friendly and chill. Maybe you're doing something to provoke people if you're seeing so much negativity.

Right there, its a cry for help. May not have asked in a direct way, but when that gets asked and we look at their stats/equip and its a bit off. Help, not insults should be given.

Lower level dungeons tend to have more new players. However, as you get to level 50, you will invariably run into the more "experienced" players that should know better than to treat newer players with contempt. The problem is people like that, a.k.a as speed runners have no time for nobody, and the will run roughshod, up over and thru anyone they feel are in their way. I would capture all the text from the chat where they are cussing at you and report them to the GM. I've seen them abuse the vote kick on healers or tanks, because they needed 10 seconds to chat with their FC, and these speed runners got themselves wiped. I do NOT know why these people are so impatient. Luckily these incidences should not occur too often, if 1 out of 40 player is one these obnoxious speed runner, you will likely encounter them in 1 out of 10 run, but 1 in 10 runs is still too often. People need to behave better.

Honestly, the only angry people I see in low level dungeons are the newbies themselves.

Conversations in these cases tend to go like this:

Vet: Hey, be careful about not standing in x AoE.
Newbie: DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN'TTTTTTTT YOU FREAKING DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDARRRRRRRREEEEEE TELLL ME WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *FLIPS TABLE* *EYEBALLS BULDGE OUT OF HEAD FROM RAGE*

HONESTLY!! That is so FALSE!! The only people that respond like that are experienced and practiced trolls.

I've not seen a new player do anything but try to help (try their best to not be problem) and try to stay alive. They are too new and scared of everything to be trying a stunt like that.

Stop blaming the new players. They should not be victimized on the forums after being treated badly in game.

Yes, there are some mean people. Same thing in the forums as well sometimes. I am on Hyperion and we have our share of mean people. I for one am not one of them.

Trust me, there are new players that rage at vets for trying to help. It doesn't matter how nicely a vets words things either. Some scared people lash out instead of shrink down.

I make it a point to say hello when first start though I tend to remain quiet for rest of run unless group struggles, however if they do struggle then I offer advice in friendly and polite way. One thing I will say is if your a tank or healer it does help when you read upon dungeon bosses beforehand but if you haven't don't be afraid to say so because people will generally tell you how to do it if ask prior to charging up to the bosses. It might also be best to do 1-50 first as a dps class to learn how fights go without the hassle of being the one relied upon to know everything upfront if do not want to read up on how to do it as tank/healer because your not so depended on as much as a tank or healer given your death does not always mean a wipe.

Then once ran through it once with dps then switch to leveling a tank or healer if that's what want. Most important thing is learn from your mistakes, if don't learn from your mistakes people will get a bit frustrated understandably because noone likes wasting their time having to spend a long time in a place only to fail it over and over again but that is no excuse for people name calling or being jerks, luckily for myself most of the dungeons I ran first time had a lot of nice people and was not till raid content they started being jerks other than one time in normal dungeon where some person had made macro for sole purpose of calling people retards but that only happened once to me when first started out.

@Elim, your wrong...very wrong as it is not generally new players who rage and throw insults. I have never, not once seen what you claim happens.
