The only who is wrong here are you come to my post saying l2jump instead of answer normally when this is serious Dragoon bugSo, because I don't care for your idea, that makes me a "retard" and that I did not study English? Christ, you can't take criticism at all.
Ok, fine, I'll break down your idea.
1) There is nothing wrong with being hit by AoEs. SE has discussed this.
How about you learn to pay attention and not use a Jump skill when an AoE is about to be used.
Learning fights is hard, right?
2) You do not get hit by AoE if you are jumping over them.
3) Your picture is completely wrong.
If there is an item in the way, or LoS is broken, you do not magically end up next to said item, you are returned to your original placement near instantly.
You are spouting bs, and calling me a "retard" simply because you can't handle simple criticism tells me all I need to know about you.
Good day.

I must say, while it would be ideal for dragoons to have Jump ignore terrain (or actually jump over stuff and have it be invulnerable to AoEs or avoid them altogether while the character is in the air) it would be pretty overpowered in the sense you could use Jump, Dragonfire Drive, and the stun jump (I can't remember the name) to avoid damage altogether.
As for it being a bug: it like isn't. It was most likely intended to avoid exploitation of the move in fights and to traverse areas (i.e. using elusive jump to get up to places you normally couldn't get to). As for Pyreflye's comment, I read it like it was in jest. This is the internet.

Yeah, I think that sums this up nicely. Bye now, have fun with your galaxy-sized blinders.
