It is situationally good. To me, as a player with limited time, for instance, (mostly devoted to casually doing endgame content) it doesn't warrant several attempts of learning a fight and then several more attempts of getting the fight together with players I trust happening along online when I am and then managing to fill the holes with even more players who I don't trust that are hopefully good enough to make clears happen over say, just unlocking and doing SCOB, unless I'm literally locked out of and capped out on everything else.

(The fight itself is incredibly fun though. One of the better ones to come out recently, IMO.)
Assuming you have enough accuracy, so the additional accuracy is wasted. Using the commonly accepted theorycraft stats weigh of 1DET=0.283INT, 1Crit=0.211INT, and 1SS=0.094INT. You are talking about a net gain of 2.912INT by using the Ramuh Ring over the HA Ring of Casting. I wouldn't call that situationally good, it is simply better.

Your logic behind why X is not worth it due to the learning curve can really be applied to all endgame contents. Isn't that what endgame is about? Go in, learn the fight, clear the content, reap the reward? Why is Ramuh different, when the ring is clearly better?

This actually applies for BLM as well, but the gain is not as significant, because spellspeed weighs more for BLM than SMN.
