Was Coil 2 and Ramuh extreme over tune?

I have no desire or patience for that, so I play casually. But as this post brilliantly puts it, there's nowhere for casual raiders to progress to. Nobody does Ramuh because Hunts are better; nobody will PF T6 unless you have a T9 clear and therefore are "in with the raid crowd" because Hunts are better. "But I wanted to play the gam-" HUNTS ARE BETTER.

I don't do hunts because they make me want to claw my eyes out with boredom and hatred for the community, but it's literally the only """"""""content"""""""" (with maximum quotation marks) available to me. What are casuals who like to RAID supposed to do? I want to spam REX and get my SCH book and a ring, but hours scouring PF for learning parties tell me that isn't going to happen.
