that goes both ways actually becuase what if ur grp found it first then it would be that your grp would matter first, then wht if i stole it and reset it and you got crap cred then that mean your in the wrong becuase you didnt wait for me and others to join hmm?So much wrong.
Clearly, someone from the horde found it, otherwise they wouldn't have shown up.
Also, on our server we wait for everyone we know is coming to show up before pulling. If you're still on the way, it's literally as easy as shouting "I'm omw please wait before pulling" in the zone, and people wait. We co-ordinate to do it, there are people that have gone to great lengths and spent a lot of RL money setting up a TS so people can all share and get as many people credit as possible. There's always people shouting at hunt sites inviting people to linkshells and giving out the TS info so people can join and also get credit.
You don't even have to join a linkshell or anything to be included.
The OP literally disregarded all that and said "no one but my group matters". If that isn't rude or selfish, when a lot of people are trying to make sure everyone gets credit, I don't know what sort of morality system you're using.
If you'd have said you were on the way before the pull, they'd have waited. That's how it works. You chose not to wait despite knowing they were on their way.
Also, resets happen all the time during hunts, 9 times out of 10 the group just deals with it. For some reason you took this as "stealing".
In fact, I think I just realised it all while typing this reply. I just figured you out all over. Your entire attitude towards this is "mine, my mob, mine, screw everyone else". Most groups deal with resets and just carry on, you're so stuck in your mindset that you get so angry over such a simple thing. It's sad really.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. You don't go to another country and disregard their rules and customs. You abide by them.Yeah sure. Mind you, I did some test with marks I found on lost spots. The horde always come, even if I'm alone and never shout. The horde is using radars. Not all, but enough to get all the marks that spawn anywhere.
you disregarded OP's right to pull when THEY found it right because it was THEIR mark (they found it by themselves and were kind enough to share). They are using SE's system, you're abusing their rights to do so. Want to argue back ?
They chose to not go along with the servers established preference for handling hunts. That is their choice and their consequences to suffer.

only had 5 unless you need 8 or something idkThis is never the case. Not even with Ss. Your group composition is either terrible or something else if 8 people can't get full credit on something.
With a huge group of people, it takes at least 10 seconds for a B to die since they increased their HP. If all 8 people get in 4 attacks, that's enough for full credit.
Also.. Leviathan is not exactly a small server. It's one of the largest US ones.
Going by xivsoul
Did you report them? Griefing is griefing, Thats like when players would kite NMs to keep others from claiming. Make a GM call and usually a GM would show up tell them kill it or let other group take. I had heard of GMs making one of the NMs tail flail the kiters before.
Yeah sure. Mind you, I did some test with marks I found on lost spots. The horde always come, even if I'm alone and never shout. The horde is using radars. Not all, but enough to get all the marks that spawn anywhere.

YOSHIDA!!!!! Apply Final Fantasy XI claiming rules to ALL Elite Hunts... END THIS NONSENSE.
Whoever finds the mark first should get full credit, full stop.
While I think the rules regarding the way mobs reset in general are obnoxious and morose, this should be addressed more fundamentally.
Allow the finder to tag the mob without attacking/pulling and just give full credit on the kill.
Finding the mob is just as important a part of the hunt as killing it after all.
It is not selfish, the way it is being done I don't think is the way SE intended. Nobody has to wait for others to show up, those groups sure as hell don't practice what they preach. Shouting out is only a courtesy. I have found marks before and eventually shouted out come get some. But to purposely reset a NM is low period. That seems to be considered griefing by GMs. S class yes I can see a zerg on those, A's and B's no. I don't have the need to be in a party when I find a random mark that I know I can take with my choco. Someone else shows up that's fine I tend to ease up on the dps. Whoever shows up can finish it off for all I care. Resetting again is being a poor sport especially if that is all you're doing is farming marks. You just screwed over a solo player. In the end there is an entitlement attitude with these hunting LS's.
If people pull the things they do if you don't wait for them, they aren't worth the courtesy to begin with. And the analogy is a reference to wanting something you clearly aren't needed for but still wanting it so it still stands. You're right, they aren't forced to. But it is courteous to do so.
Also your analogy is terrible, Gold is a finite resource, Allied Seals can be earned by everyone that is there and takes part.
If they had waited for the group to show up, everyone would had gotten credit, no harm would have come from doing this. This is where the difference lies.
If SE put a weekly cap on allied seals then the zerg would have no reason to farm the entire week long.
I mean if tomestones, Coil and everything else has a weekly cap or lockout restriction, why in the blue hell can't The Hunt be capped so other players can participate as well?
