    Even basic important NMs (for progression) is using a spawn or tiered spawn system these days in XI for well over 6 years now. Recent examples of overworld spawns is the Naakuals in Adoulin, which is still possible for "everyone to enjoy" since it requires more than just talkin to an NPC and picking up an item or just going out to where they spawn and benefit.

    Someone said it earlier and I agree: Accessibility kills content like this, it was a last minute addition so they probably didn't have enough time to research how XI handles overworld NMs now. (Same teams, same company after all.)

    Teleport to Camp Emerald Moos, touch the Aetherite to teleport to Treespeak, then just run for 1-2 minutes to get in position.
    Sure, but you weren't soloing them in 5-20 seconds I can assure you. You also weren't teleporting to each NM endlessly as when you ran out of anima you longer could.
