All you're getting at is "I want to play the exact same class that was in Final Fantasy XI!" And normally i HATE this excuse/reasoning, but it the most apt response. This isn't FFXI. It never will be and any similarities that make one think it can, are merely coincidence and/or homage to it, nothing more.

I never said I wanted to make this game into FFXI. I just want to play Thief as a job. Thief is in more games than FFXI.

If Blackmage wasn't in the game and someone asked for it to be added as a job are you going to accuse them of trying to make the game into FFXI? No, you would think that is a logical request. So is asking for Thief to be a job.

At the moment Yoshi P is saying Rogue is this games version of the Thief and there will be no job version. I think I saw it in a interview this morning on reddit. No one is saying this job or that job is more important.

Archer is a class. It will only be played up until level 30. Then you become a Bard... which is basically an Archer that sings. Why do people fail basic comprehension in this sense? Out of ALL the classes we have, there isn't a single one which drastically changes at level 30+, not even Summoner / Scholar. You have access to ALL of your class abilities with the addition of new ones, so you'll still be a 'thief', but in ninja garb.

People put way too much emphasis on a mere name. Seriously. I can't tell if some of you are trolling or just plain stupid.

Hard to gather that that's what you were getting at when you mentioned skills specifically from FFXI.

All Thieves steal, mug and do tricks in every FF. How is that asking to make it like FFXI. I said sneak and trick-like. Not "trick attack" or "sneak attack".
