Novus weapon upgrade system findings

Parry has been proven over and over to be an extremely marginal mitigation increase for paladins due to the way block takes precedence. I can see it being useful for warrior but paladins stacking parry is a waste.

It was my understanding that, despite the name, parry buffs both parry and block for a PLD. Is that not true?

It doesn't, only dex can raise the % chance other than block rate and it does it in tiers by about 1% per.

I was under the impression you can hand in the sphere scroll whenever, but if you turn it in without all 75 melds, you end up with a gimped Novus that doesn't get all the secondary stats. So, you *could* do it, you're just gimping yourself unnecessarily, however.

Anyhow, you're correct. I got confused with the earlier screen shot that looked like you could hand the animus shield early for only a +1/+1 bonus. It's just a preview though and you're not allowed to hand it in yet.
