    So in other words, you really sink 75 + Fails (supposed about 100) Alexandrite and Tons of Gil (Materia Buying) or Time (Crafing + Binding)

    Nope it only counts as +1 Infusion no matter the Tier of the Materia...

    So far Grades 1 through 3 have only given +1 Det. I can't speak to the other attributes. You don't use higher grade for higher chance, you HAVE to use higher grade. Once you get to a certain point the lower grades can't be used for that attribute anymore. As for employment yes I'm employed, but I have 26 days of vacation that I had to use or I lose them 30SEP14. So I took two weeks vacation for Wildstar and this patch. Granted I've not only been doing novus =) I've gone to movies, zip lining, and other activities. Give me a good group though and I can do BFHMSRs in 5 min with 550ish myth an hour.

    Okay, that´s really not what I wanted to hear... well, at least I know why I saved so much gil ^^

    I was guessing that the more Grade I you do, the lower the Chance until you HAVE to use higher grades, instead of completely lock the slot when enough is fused in... but well okay, results the same...

    My guess would be that every Skill/Grade-Slot has it´s own progress in Chances and number of Materias until cap.

    but just a guess, and i was wrong often on novus ^^

    Wait I am sorry I am a bit confused I might have missed a few pages since I last read so the scroll has a lock out requiring you to put in a certain number of lets say tier 1 before it allows you to add in a tier 2. But at the same time it allow you to input a tier 2 it locks out tier 1. While that trade is going on the failure rate climbs and for each failure the rate of melding approaches 100% success rate again. So my questions are:

    If let say your on the teir 4s of Determination (Det) and you wanted to add Skill Speed (SkS) as your next stat could you start SkS and then then come back to Det when you get your next Det. And if so does SkS start at teir 1s or at the current cap for the other Materia fused stat?

    If you fail on teir 1s does the success rate increase the same as if you failed on a higher teir?

    Are the success rates shared between stats so I can risk a cheaper materia Sks to increase my success rate high enough to try the more expensive DET?

    The stats are independent of each other.
    For each tier of materia, around half of the required materia will have a 100% success rate before it slowly drops off.

    Being on Tier IV for one stat have no effect on Tier I of another stat.
