Novus weapon upgrade system findings

I was under the impression you can hand in the sphere scroll whenever, but if you turn it in without all 75 melds, you end up with a gimped Novus that doesn't get all the secondary stats. So, you *could* do it, you're just gimping yourself unnecessarily, however.

"Once you have fully infused a sphere scroll with materia, present it to Jalzahn at Hyrstmill in the North Shroud to have the corresponding relic weapon animus enhanced."

And quest text has never been wrong before?

Anyhow, you're correct. I got confused with the earlier screen shot that looked like you could hand the animus shield early for only a +1/+1 bonus. It's just a preview though and you're not allowed to hand it in yet.
