If they referred to the almost-one-year-ago 2.0 release, there wouldn't be the world NOW. Pretty sure they are speaking about new content approaching.

And maybe this content will be added before expansion, who knows. But the 2 new classes are confirmed by yoshida to appear at E3 in any case.

The card Says "Now With" In English this would imply that either since release of ARRor 1.0. Legally speaking they can and business wise it would be best to compare it to 1.0. "Now With" new classes means anyone who played at 1.0 launch or 2.0 launch and is coming back would have new classes to play, well we don't and that card is in present tense not future. SE lie's a lot, or I should say SE hires people who like to word things liberally. We have a couple new class since 1.0, and zero since 2.0 so the word classes and now can not go in the same sentence legally and talk about 2.0, otherwise if someone goes and buys a copy that hasn't played since 2.0 launch they can Sue SE for false advertisement.

Well 2.2 dropped the new class hint then add the fact that Yoshi-P said he wanted to add a Thief/Assassin class next. If would be cool if he added new jobs for current classes though.

To be fair, 1.0 players didn't have any jobs for a year and a half before 1.21 put them in.

(please excuse the incoming snarky attitude i just can't help it) Thank you very much for the wikipedia level legal advice Mr. internet lawyer, but being frank you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Realistically it is almost impossible to sue an MMO developer for false advertisement as features and "promises" can easily be sidelined or Dumpstered all together due to change in development goals, time restrictions, and a myriad of other factors. There have been hundreds of features systems that have been trashed in games because they're not possible, and you don't see everyone trying to sue them because X wasn't put in the game. That's not even considering the fact of how difficult it would be to sue someone like SE for what the $40 the game cost you? you'd spend 100000x that trying to even get into a courtroom. But lets get away from legal stuff because i hate pretending to be a lawyer.

forgoing any legal dealings and again assuming this isn't a Photoshop or something old this key was designed and paid for in preparation of E3 2014 an event that hasn't even happened yet. You wouldn't go to E3 and put this on a hotel keycard to advertise a game that's been out for a year and you especially wouldn't compare it to a game that's four years old and technically doesn't exist anymore. That means unless SE has zero ability to plan or think ahead everything mentioned on this keycard will be announced at the event it was designed for. it's like going to any trade show you make advertisements for what you're going to be showing off you don't make ones for stuff everyone already knows about. it's not thier fault someone who got one ahead of time decided to put it on the internet so people could try and claim false advertising of give them a hard time

"Now with" is open to interpretation until it is made clear what it specifies.

To me that personally means that, since the launch of A Real Reborn, the game has evolved to the point where those things have happened or will happen with the upcoming content they will showcase at E3 such as the 2.3 content and the expansion.

Personally arguing over who is right and who is wrong is pointless drama. We getting Letter from the Producer LIVE at E3 (English) today, "please look forward to it".

MSK would probably end up as maybe Chemist and something else. They said the gun class isn't what we're expecting it to be so Ranger and Corsair may not make the cut, but Chemist is already somewhat in the game because of Cid

I think with "the gun class isn't what we're expecting" they mean the role of the class, not the class.
Like support role or tank role instead of dps role

Not to mention the Lalafel in the Thaumaturge quest IS a Chemist. He has a unique heal Water of Life or something like that? Doesn't use a gun though, and he's really just a sham class, but...it's there.

I don't know how it is in the english texts, but in the german texts it is clear that he is an Alchemist, who just wanted to be a thaumaturge like his brothers but don't have enough ether energy in his body for it.

Please note my problem is how people are somehow reading the immediate/present tense of NOW as being future tense.

Whether someone want to sue se or not and waste the money is their Choice, however this does not prevent laws from being in effect. This card is representing something that is out now, not something that is in developmental stages or planning, it is stating that it is playable at this moment in time. It's advertising that new classes have been released and can be played when you log in. well if you played 2.0 at launch this is not true. They are called truth in advertising laws and they delegate what companies can do to advertise, if you have a business degree of any kind you have to take several law and ethic based classes, it's required if they want the programs to be credited, that teach you this stuff so you don't go get yourself sued before your too big to care.

However in reality America has got really bad with enforcing any of these laws as we saw apple repeatedly lie about features that samsung and google had already released, and samsung doesn't have the money to sue them(they have had the lte case for how many years now) and Google never did either. if we assume a company is following the U.S. Advertising Laws since they are advertising at a US event they can only be comparing it to 1.0. If we are looking at the realistic part of it to assume one person would sue SE is just idiotic, It wouldn't be just one person it would actually be a class action lawsuit if it where ever to go anywhere, which can be quite damaging.

Lol. I can't believe people don't want to believe this is about them announcing new classes. Are you all just trying to keep your hopes down just in case and telling yourself not to believe it? It's pretty obvious it means they are showing this new stuff at E3. This reminds me of before release when scholar was accidentally leaked on that promo picture wearing scholar AF gear and there were still a ton of people who absolutely refused to believe it was actually scholar.
