To be fair, 1.0 players didn't have any jobs for a year and a half before 1.21 put them in.Releasing classes without jobs is like releasing CT after Coil. "Yay this is fun. Kinda pointless to get ilvl 80 gear whenever everyone is getting ilvl 90 gear though, isn't it?" They did it, sure... but the only reason they did is because there were last minute issues that prevented the release of CT and they had already announced a release date. Everyone would level up the new classes, get to end game with them and complain that they are useless. No AF, no relic, no job specific abilities, and no real role in parties.

SMN and SCH.
I wasn't talking about 1.0 receiving awards, I meant ARR.

Those are Jobs not Classes. At launch we received 1 class 2 jobs. When they release the new classes it'll be 2 Classes X jobs. If they were talking about ARR beforehand, they'd say Jobs or class (in non plural)
Then again why would they advertise the beginning of the game when that was months ago and we're coming close to the third major patch/expansion? We'll know for sure during E3

Never really thought about this, I hope we get 2 classes 4 jobs!! That would be pretty real. Those are Jobs not Classes. At launch we received 1 class 2 jobs. We don't know for sure if we're even getting new jobs at this time, we were only told about new classes so far. Even at launch we were only supposed to get Arcanist with SMN coming in 2.1. They apparently were ahead of schedule because not only did we get SMN at launch, but we got SCH too which came as a huge surprise (well... it was leaked info before that Yoshida himself said he was very disappointed with). What I'm getting at is that We have confirmed 2 new classes, HOWEVER based on how ahead/behind schedule SE is, we may get anywhere from 0 to 4 jobs, which is why I said "X jobs" in my post
Oh also, the classes don't have to have anything to do with Final Fantasy. As far as I know there's no Thaumaturge, Gladiator or Arcanist names in FF yet. It's the jobs that are made to be iconic.
I totally forgot about this, but to be fair he is an apprentice of the ALC guild so he'd know a thing or 2 about potions. Still not ruling out the possibilities of potion-like abilities to be used by a new class/job
Wouldn't make sense since SAM is an iconic Great Katana class (both in Final Fantasy and history itself) and Thief/Ninja as shown by Thancred and Yugiri are dual dagger wielding classes/jobs.

You need to play FFtactics and Tactics advance. Gladiator is a Job, in FF Advance
"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."

Gladiator and Arcanist are from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Series and Thaumaturge is from FFXIII
It says the winner of the awards, that is ARR, ARR received the awards, 1.0 didn't receive anything, so if it is the WINNER(ARR not 1.0, as they are classified as different games) of the awards that has new classes that would make it referring to new classes coming, also it's more than confirmed new classes are coming "soon" so there's no reason not to believe they are not referring to that.
Then again who knows, its pointless to discuss this we'll know what they mean soon enough.
I didn't say you were either, i'm just pointing out what the badge text implies.
