This is confirmation that FFXIV:ARR has new Classes, Dungeons, and areas to explore than FFXIV !

In all seriousness though, Scout and Musketeer confirmed!

Oh, I'm guessing we'll see Coerthas Central Lowlands in 2.3 or some time soon. "New areas to explore", plus that door in Revenant's Toll that got added in 2.28... Could also be all the Beastmen zones too, since they are meant to get their own full zone and that path to the Amaljaas tower has been there since beta, and those are the logical places to put Wandering Primals for FC summoning, which is also meant to be soon.

MSK would probably end up as maybe Chemist and something else. They said the gun class isn't what we're expecting it to be so Ranger and Corsair may not make the cut, but Chemist is already somewhat in the game because of Cid

I am willing to bet nothing that Musketeer will get Orator, which is effectively Beastmaster. They said they were working on a Taming ability around the same time as Summoning, and Orator mainly used firearms. It would be unexpected since it's a Tactics Job (something they've mentioned wanting to implement) rather than a FFIII Job.

In all REAL seriousness though, nothing confirmed besides 'New Classes.' Don't get your hopes up until something more concrete comes out than 'new classes' to go and suddenly name them.

I'm more interested in the new jobs that will progress from the new classes, scout obviously will be Thief or Ninja, Musketeer........I would love to say Corsair as another support dps but I doubt it

Not to mention the Lalafel in the Thaumaturge quest IS a Chemist. He has a unique heal Water of Life or something like that? Doesn't use a gun though, and he's really just a sham class, but...it's there.

I think with "the gun class isn't what we're expecting" they mean the role of the class, not the class.
Like support role or tank role instead of dps role

I don't know how it is in the english texts, but in the german texts it is clear that he is an Alchemist, who just wanted to be a thaumaturge like his brothers but don't have enough ether energy in his body for it.
