Please note my problem is how people are somehow reading the immediate/present tense of NOW as being future tense.

Whether someone want to sue se or not and waste the money is their Choice, however this does not prevent laws from being in effect. This card is representing something that is out now, not something that is in developmental stages or planning, it is stating that it is playable at this moment in time. It's advertising that new classes have been released and can be played when you log in. well if you played 2.0 at launch this is not true. They are called truth in advertising laws and they delegate what companies can do to advertise, if you have a business degree of any kind you have to take several law and ethic based classes, it's required if they want the programs to be credited, that teach you this stuff so you don't go get yourself sued before your too big to care.

However in reality America has got really bad with enforcing any of these laws as we saw apple repeatedly lie about features that samsung and google had already released, and samsung doesn't have the money to sue them(they have had the lte case for how many years now) and Google never did either. if we assume a company is following the U.S. Advertising Laws since they are advertising at a US event they can only be comparing it to 1.0. If we are looking at the realistic part of it to assume one person would sue SE is just idiotic, It wouldn't be just one person it would actually be a class action lawsuit if it where ever to go anywhere, which can be quite damaging.


In fact your response is a pretty big part of the problem, in summary you stated, it doesn't matter if it's illegal it's not like you have the money to do anything about it...
I hope that this is truly not what you believe, if it is then it's safe to say you would be happy being a slave, or you believe that people with money should be above the law.

If E3 comes and goes with no announcement you can get back on here and talk about how we should all sue SE for false advertising and whatever other laws Wikipedia tells you they broke, but until then please just stop. All I see is a key that probably got handed out too early for an event that hasn't even happened yet. As much as you want to try and sue SE or refuse to believe they'll make some announcements this key was designed to create hype. you don't go to a trade show like E3 with nothing to show and you definitely don't do it without creating some sort of hype. I like how your such a pro reader that you can't tell the difference between the phrases out now meaning you can log in right now, and coming soon meaning we plan on releasing this. I can't sue SE for taking 3+ years to release cait sith/atmos because those where developmental plans or for postponing patch 2.28. I could Sue if I received a card saying Cait sith is playable now, I resubbed lvled a new char to get summon to 99 and found out he wasn't out yet, nor was he coming out. Why because they said out now not coming soon. The reality of the situation is one would demand a refund until they got it and never get a lawyer yes so lets stop talking about the fact that we are poor folks and lack the funds, or the fact that most people it's more of a time sink to deal with court however being rich does not make you above the law, which it's clear you think it does. If they are advertising stuff they are showing at E3 the card would say coming soon to ARR, not now. Lol. I can't believe people don't want to believe this is about them announcing new classes. Are you all just trying to keep your hopes down just in case and telling yourself not to believe it? It's pretty obvious it means they are showing this new stuff at E3. This reminds me of before release when scholar was accidentally leaked on that promo picture wearing scholar AF gear and there were still a ton of people who absolutely refused to believe it was actually scholar.

well you know, live letter was translated by fans...who are obviously lying, and trying to mislead us...conspiracies and all that. And anytime something appears on reddit=automatically it's a lie.
So we obviously cant trust anything until Yoshi says it himself, in english, or there's actual in-game footage/videos, or artwork (which as you stated wasn't even enough to convince ppl)
I'm going to guess that we'll know about the new classes/jobs, on the 12th, during Jap live letter. The Eng one, probably won't disclose anything big.
They might have Ramuh-HM as competition, as they previously did with Titan, and Levi, and show that.
Most likely they will just answer boring questions from community, and some boring interviewer.

You could assume that one of the next patches will include new Jobs. Like stated earlier, he could not give informations out yet, or he would not have much left to announce at E3. That implies that they will talk about new classes, shiva is also everywhere and you could assume it is coming along with a new Area, since Giga's dont really have a "Stronghold" yet.

It also states on the card "Classes", not one but more than one. From 1.0 to 2.0 there was ONE new Class, so you could also assume it is refering to the current state/upcoming patches, since "Classes" does not fit 1.0, or 2.0 Release.

Tomorrow is the first show and there will be a couple more. I would guess the best is saved for the later second Part of the Live Letter and also for the last show. They probably will hint about it tomorrow and get more into it over the next Days.

The card in question references both the past and the future versions of the game. Obviously they only speak of Final Fantasy XIV: ARR and not it's predacessor, as it never won any awards what-so-ever.

"New Classes" reaches to both the new, unrevealed classes as well as the previous Arcanist. I would like to believe a company as professional as Square Enix would not make a mistake on their E3 card. If anything, this might very well be a slight teaser for the expansion as well, in the vaguest way.

In retrospect after E3, the card will make that much more sense after the announcements and should be seen as such hencforth.
