With the 15% the tanks can snooze through the whole encounter nearly. Healers still need to be somewhat on their game since every so often there'll be a DS that the tank can't fully mitigate and the snakes can hurt, but all in all it's not that bad. The DPS checks are a laugh unless you're trying to clear it at absolute minimum ilevel. In fact the echo buff can cause DPS to push high enough to cause a conflag to be up during divebombs. As for divebombs, it's already been said that you can pretty near just spread out and eat them now. As long as you have the OT soak during the initial phase after adds you'll still get your T3 LB for snakes which makes them a cakewalk. I can PUG a group now and reach Twisters. Twisters are the one mechanic that the Echo will do NOTHING for. The DPS check on the dreadknights is much more forgiving with the Echo.
In short, the Echo buff is strong enough as is. Anything more will likely start glitching the fight with stupid phase changes and even if you made the rest of the fight a faceroll, if you can't manage the twister mechanic you will never clear it. Too many people are obsessed with nerfing fights to the point of tank n spank. What's the fun if you can brute force through mechanics?

It's actually understandable that you guys didn't communicate straight away and I think a lot of people shouldn't make it into as big a deal as it seems. After all, you are gathering and studying data and making adjustments as you see fit. While these adjustments might not seem necessary, it's clear the impact is being judged.Greetings,
When it comes to how and where we release information, including that which comes from Letter from the Producer and Letter from the Producer LIVE, we’ll be making efforts to improve how we communicate moving forward, and we apologize for any misunderstandings that may have arisen this time.
In regards to future announcements, if there are aspects that may give rise to misunderstandings like the present case, we’ll be sure to make corrections and give supplemental information; however, we also feel that it would be more appropriate to execute our plans at the time we communicate when this is not the case.
All the same, even just a less formal shout out, tweet, or some quick method to say something like:
"Echo buff isn't being increased due to number of players now progressing through the content."
In the end, I appreciate the work and effort put in. Keep it up guys!
They would have had to come to their conclusion before or even the day of. All they needed to do was share their decision then or even within the next few day after. Instead, silence. While I do appreciate that SE finally had him say something and even this most recent post, I still don't agree on the lack of communication. It's actually understandable that you guys didn't communicate straight away and I think a lot of people shouldn't make it into as big a deal as it seems. They must reach a conclusion on what to do before it's announced. To assume making a decision is easy is unfair, It could have complex and possible unseen complications to game play, and should be carefully considered. It would be unfair to everyone too announce a decision to early only later to say "we changed our minds." People would lose all trust and faith in the developers. They would have had to come to their conclusion before or even the day of. You mean the conclusion not to boost the echo bonus? Clearly a decision was made before the day came because there was no boost. I'm not advocating they announce this weeks in advance. But the proposed deadline came, went and passed into even more days and still no word was given. This situation isn't like announcing a proposed feature and then the day before saying "sorry we are holding off on this for awhile".They must reach a conclusion on what to do before it's announced. To assume making a decision that could have complex and possible unseen complications to game play is unrealistic. And it would be unfair to everyone too announce a decision to early only later to say "we changed our minds."
Because there is nothing to do in this game outside of coil right now.To all the people who are just being all like "if you're having this much trouble with t5 you're not gonna get past t6"
How do you even know they want to move on to t6? You're just being needlessly antagonistic, just like all the people making useless comments like "you're gonna hate Titan EX" to all the people who had trouble getting past Titan HM. How do you know they even gave a rat's ass about Titan EX at the time? I know I certainly didn't. I'd imagine most people just wanted to clear Titan HM for their relics, kinda like how I bet most people just want to clear t5 to get themselves some Allagan weapons.
If you aren't aiming to do Second Coil, what ARE you doing?
That's an elists thing to say. Especially since you are completely 180 degree false. Almost 2/3 of my FC dropped off the face of coil progression in 2.3
Atma
alt gearing in old coil (and the myth spam)
Dailies-soldiery
3star crafting
Pretty much just destory people desire to learn twin. Heck those that beat twin somehow never really even learn t6 and ignore it.
I think the echo should reach the stated amount simply because echo is echo. It helps people catch up. Look at titan ex. People are being left behind on it because everyone who learned titan ex just move on leaving those behind in the dust.
20% even 30% isn't going to help those who cant learn mechanics, especially with Titan. Even 100% echo wont save you if you cant dodge landslides.
