I understand these crafters, on a server with less population, the mats/materia cost are high too. They refuse to lower the price and undercut each other because they haven't made their initial investment back.On my server, most 3*s are still over a million...and NO ONE is buying them. Have a few 3* crafter friends complaining that they aren't selling, but refuse to lower the price...
If they were 500K-700K, many more would sell. And even then, that may still be a little high, since you have the hidden melding cost to factor in as well (and if you have no intention of melding it...just go farm Coil)

Mats aren't even terribly expensive on the market; think the most expensive from a quick browse was ~100K-150K for the myth-mat. And you only need 1 of them...yes, I know, the latex, but last I looked even HQ wasn't as expensive I think.
Oh, I've been getting quotes from various crafters for making the gear. Haven't bought anything yet, mostly because I don't feel like dealing with the materia RNG right now and for all classes but DRG, I just don't need the slightly better stats a penta-meld brings (I have 6 jobs at i90+, including my i94 DRG main). The only thing I am seriously considering right now is the DRG belt, thanks to SE deciding that it and the body belong in T9...though the mask also gets consideration occasionally.I sell 3* full cost or with your mats at rate as cheap as that because I like charging fair price and I get pm-ed by other crafters from our server saying I am "destroying" the 3* market just because they want to keep everything over 1mil to squeeze out gil buyer money. Fun Stuff.
I will admit I keep hoping some NQ failures make their way on the MB at stupid low prices for my vanity...no luck so far.
And its not that I'm poor (making all my gil off people trying to penta-meld lol), I just won't pay over a certain amount for something like this.

I'm guessing they bought the mats when they were ultra expensive and don't want to sell them at a loss at all.
If there's ten of a 800k item up it only makes sense for the price to go down. If there were demand at that price there wouldn't be ten up.
Definetely SE needs to do something to fix the market in this game.
I would do the same, just to annoy the 24/7 undercutter. I am still make enough Profit to buy a Big House. Continuous undercutting is the Problem... or the Greed of Humans.
oh this thread again lol
Not everyone live the markets, or crafting. I believe the minority does. I sell on minimum price, not because I'm stupid and likes to earn less gil, but because I don't care to make more. I'm sorry but I rather spend my time playing a game than spend my time in game AFK clicking the price history button every minute to earn even the slightest more gil I can lol (And in fact by actually playing the game by that time I make more gil than I would sitting and adjusting my prices endlessly since I spend that time getting gil from various other fun activities).
And even if I lose gil... It's not like it's real life money where if I don't have money I'll starve to death lol, If I see I need gil or I can't play, I will find a way to make it, but until then I'm sorry but I'm going to clean my inventory lol
