If they wanted to do it this way it should just drop 1 Sand per player.
The irony is the fact that by the time you've cleared the Second Coil of Bahamut in its entirety, you most probably will still haven't got your UAT yet, at which point they'll be completely useless.

My friend cleared T5 numerous times before 2.2, and still didn't get his weapon until the day before patch. At THAT point, the weapon is completely useless to him, because he can already clear the coil without it.

It looks to me that the Soldiery armors are meant to be vanity items, You know how scrappy Allagan armors look
