This RNG/grind wall appeases a certain type of player's needs--that is, to be like a beautiful transformed butterfly among all the struggling larvae, who are struggling to be beautiful butterflies themselves.
We must be tolerant of their dire needs.

PS3 limitations
Such a simple solution can be implemented.
Increase the droprate by 0.50% for every FATE completed.
Reset droprate after 1 hour of no FATE activity or Atma dropping. That way, everyone should get their Atma within 30ish fates.
RNG is RNG, but please keep it reasonable.

You could even cap the drop % at like 25%.. Better than 5%. I've grinded the same area for 6 hours for naught while others can grab it within a few fates or a couple hours.
There is hardcore, an then there's "you know how to do 1 tedious task for several hours! here's a cookie!" There's no satisfaction in running around 1 map for 6 hours. If SE just wanted to drag out relics, they could have limited us to 1 atma a day, etc.

Ithink as a noob player the prob is the extreme randomization of drop of atma piece...........
I think is more simple if you drop it after a sequence of fate in all 12 zone , but at this point you farm a zone and take the same atma for all your Zenith relic , no , because you can have only one for all atma and you at this pointyou must farm all fate in all zone for all your relic.
I aplogize for my horrible english u.u

This is a question for people who got the relic atma, i'm on blm, and it says kill Zanr'ak pugilists but they are not counting, no cog wheel above there head either, is this another mistype by SE, and its another set of mobs, anyone know?

I don't know if anyone said this before, but this isn't true. My friend tried to lvl one of his small classes. No chance to achieve gold in any FATE. A horde of 50 just ran over all the FATEs he was trying to do. Sometimes he didn't even have the chance to cast something. It doesn't help people, but in fact it makes things worse. I don't have a problem with fate grinding (13,5k myth stone grinding sounds worse than this...), but this can't go on like this :/ whoever made this task just didn't think about the consequences....
I got Atma Archer solo on first try just running to a quest. Maybe just pure luck.

So, I have run a total of 546 FATE so far with only 4 Atma to show for it (More than others, I am aware) However, with each passing FATE of no Atma, I start to realize... "The Atma weapon is not even progressive." Yes, it lets you start on your Animus, but, it holds the same stats as your relic Zenith. At least in XI the RNG drops were improvements when you finally got them... Yeesh.

Getting the atma changes the look, then your weapon stats increase with each book you do.So, I have run a total of 546 FATE so far with only 4 Atma to show for it (More than others, I am aware) However, with each passing FATE of no Atma, I start to realize... Look at the positive side.. you are 546 FATEs closer to Paragon's Crown..
