Done with XIV until they stop with the recycled content.
Love the slow progress and long term goals but enough is enough with stupid FATE system.
Forum : Oh how we hate FATEs --- SE: Here do more FATEs !

To whom it may concern,
Regarding the Fate Grind for Atmas. I have received the Atma of the Twins fairly easily. However, After putting in 10 Hours Fate grinding just to try and receive my Second Atma I Have in sense given up the long haul. This was tire some and tedious work which could be spent elsewhere. Now i'm not saying give me the Atmas for free I don't mind some hard work to get what i'm after.
Possible solutions for all and not me.
1. Complete all fates in the area 3 Times if one Atma has not been Presented to you by then, you will then be awarded with one. Kicker all the Fates have to be completed with out leaving the Zone or doing dungeons in between.
2. Increase the RNG to make it feel like we are not wasting time on Fate grinding to the Extreme.
3. or at least allow us to use our lower level Characters to Fate grind after obtaining the Quest with our Zenith weapon, so we may at least get EXP for our Classes and not just our Chocobo Companions.

I'm inclined to change my opinion. Originally I didn't mind but 76 pages+ shows me that changes can be made. I'm really sorry you're all having such a hard time just trying to be apart of this. Hopefully the dev's will have a change of heart too.
My 2 cents is that, I don't mind very long but I don't like that it's purely RNG for 12 separate zones to kick off the quest. It's just not very fun or rewarding.
Yes totally agree you can get other cool weapons differently too but just referring to how Zodiac weapons are specifically earned. Maybe have other means, like RNG Atma drops in dungeons, or EM trials. Atma drops for non lvl 50s so we can level other characters. Random reward from beast tribe etc...
but keep fates as most efficient way to earn it for those who are willing to do the crazy grind to get it first etc.
Just saying 6 hours Southern Thanalan no atma and an angry wife

I am mixed about this, partially because I enjoy it! I am glad that they made something take time, instead of just handing it out left and right. In a way, when they made dungeons a better way to level up jobs, they gimped the Fates. There was no real reason to do them, and with 2.2 they gave Fates a purpose again, which I felt was brilliant on their behalf. It gives players a reason to go out into the world and do something, not just sit in their FC house or in a town popping DF's over and over again.
On the other hand, I know friends who are having very bad luck with drops... personally I am happy if I get one a day. I went with a friend who'd already been doing it for about 3 hours, joined him and got one within 30 min while he was still trying to get one like 2 hours later from the same zone. >.<
But then again I use this time to do other things as well, not just fate grinding for Atma. I work on missions, and if I see a Fate I jump in. I am also using this as a option of leveling my chocobo and spirit bonding, and our leader has been keeping up the 'Man's Best Friend' to help us out with that.
Thus why I am torn, I am actually enjoying it because I'm not just making it about the Atma... but I know friends who are wanting to hurry along and get them, but are having bad luck. Yes maybe a raise in the drop percentage could be done, but I don't see an issue with the way the upgrading of the Relic is done over all.

I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
I think the books is the right way to go. That is progression. Doing random fates and dealing with RNG, not so much.
