Also, there is, to my knowledge, no examples of Summoner's being able to bring forth Primals by themselves. The story implies that Summoners of old could group together to summon full fledged primals, but they did so exactly like the Beast Tribes do - By collecting massive amounts of crystals (Think 50 dump trucks, not what you can fit in your backpack) and through distributive summoning (More Summoners then you can actually fit into a party).
Summoner's of old according to Final Fantasy XIV Wiki had immeasurable power and could summon Primals single handedly. We are the resurrected Allagan Summoner's but we lost a lot of our knowledge

First of all, wikis are not factual.

    Second of all
In times immemorial, there lived mages who had not only the power to summon the primals, but also the means to transmute the primals' essences, thus binding them to their will. Known simply as summoners, the existence of these men and women and their arcane art have been all but lost to the ages.
Nowhere it does it say single handedly. In fact it only mentions multiples. You have some skewed reading comprehension or selective as hell memory.
