That, although worded somewhat bittersweet, is true. We who like going to retainers "waste" our time, while you get your items right a way with a small tax. I don't think that's bad...But wouldn't Eldaena's idea give you what you even if you get charged a little extra? I thought you just wanted a system where you go to a counter, find what you want, then buy it. Anyway that's the point to a compromise, no one gets what they really want. You lose a little cash and I lose a little time. I think it balances out.
Why do you seem to think this is about you? You don't have a right to be put on an equal footing in terms of investment if you're actively willing to cripple your own play time for the sake of preserving a craptastic system.
Right I'm pretty much done now being as you seem to be completely bereft of common sense, however the reason why these games use an AH is because it's the most efficient way (read: most fun way because it gets you back to playing the actual game quickest) to support trade amongst players.I think people left due to content and other obnoxious things, and less over the wards. People would use an auction house if that is what they had to use, just like people use the market wards because that is what they have to use. Several other MMOs use AH and that is the only thing sitting in your favor. Lots of people are used to them. However, MW really are not that different and once they fix some of these things I think it could really be better.
The reason it's 'in my favor' is because it makes the most sense, if any successful MMO implemented market wards, people would think it was a joke.
Just plucked that out of IGN's review from 8 months ago, I left off the part where it talks about not being able to find items because obviously we can at least search now. However it does help to give an 'outsider' impression of the system.. As of this review's publish time the system requires you to hire a retainer, an NPC that can be given items and set in an instanced market area. The idea is that other players will enter into this area, find your retainer, and then purchase items you put up for sale. Yet in practice it means there's a disorganized mess of NPC retainers standing around market areas with little indication of what's being sold.

Uhm, it's not crippling to me? I enjoy it. It's part of the game. And I didn't say this was all about me. It's about all players and trying to be reasonable.

Playing the wards is part of the game to some people. Even more fun then fighting mind-numbing leves and pretending to be a machine crafting. AH does not = successful MMO. People use AH in MMOs because several people use them, it's an old system that some are familiar with. That FFXIV didn't conform to this doesn't mean MW is the worst thing ever. The only complaint that is reasonable valid that people are having now is that you can't buy things instantly from the search menu.Right I'm pretty much done now being as you seem to be completely bereft of common sense, however the reason why these games use an AH is because it's the most efficient way (read: most fun way because it gets you back to playing the actual game quickest) to support trade amongst players.
