Bad coding is still bad coding. Do you want something fixed or still limping along with bad code structure for release version 2.0?
Please dont take away the display of archers with the bow, leave it like it is, it wouldnt be an archer without showing the bowChecked with the dev. team regarding questions about archers and their ability to auto-attack. Auto-attack as a system will initiate when the player is fighting an enemy in close range. While archers will be able to auto-attack enemies while in close range it won't be with arrows. New animations will be implemented to make this all happen!
Why is it bad coding? Just because it's quick and easy?

As I said, any competent dev would have changed those skills to accommodate the new system, to redesign the battle system only to exclude one class is laughable, especially as they have changed skills on other classes.
They haven't so much redesigned the battle system as copied FF11's.
Exactly, most games do it by deselecting the target .. novel idea I'm sure !
many people who actually play archer wouldnt want AA. an archer can litterlay only press his basic attacks 1 out of ever 8 button presses and do more dmg than auto attacking. You just dont get the job if you havent played it past like 20.
Quick and easy sure, but ridiculous in its design. Go out in the gaming community and explain this situation and see if you make it out alive...
All battle classes are going to be given auto attack. All ranged classes are given an auto attack but only in melee range, and with a weapon they currently do dont have.
That just sounds so stupid, code issue or not, its just not logical to design more dumb things into this game.
So the thing I loathed most about RNG in FFXI is being kept for FFXIV? /sighChecked with the dev. team regarding questions about archers and their ability to auto-attack. Probably going to be some form of melee attack using the bow. Bows are already primary weapons, and unlikely they will let you equip Bows and daggers, otherwise you could level gladiator up very easily.
To the people with knowledge of PS3 coding, do you think it's taking so long to implement things because the devs are coding a PS3 version simultaneously for every change/addition? And unless tests pass for PC and PS3 versions, they can't move on? I wish they could just fix the PC side first since that's most urgent, but then again if they did that, later on if they found a feature that doesn't work on PS3, what a predicament they'd be in.
Bare Fist attacks :O!!!!Checked with the dev. team regarding questions about archers and their ability to auto-attack. Who says I haven't played it past lvl 20 ?
I'm fully aware how the class works, what does more dmg have to do with anything, a better player equals better dps as will better gear and better stats allocation, its all moot, as the class that is balanced using AA will be balanced with that system in mind.
Just as the DoW skills have been adjusted to fit in with the speed of the attacks, TP gain and whatnot.
Basically you are saying you want Archers to have free reign so they can be supreme DPS and put everyone in their place, even if it means the rest of us have to put up with nubs that can't control their hate because they are spamming like crazy people.
Edit: You trolled me, I just looked at your signature and you don't have an Archer over 20 ...
