So you just want them to take away what makes Archer stand out from the rest of the other DoW jobs? Got it. Far be it from me to tell you what YOU think is the proper way to do it. SE is obviously thinking the other way though.
Oh come on !!
What makes them different is that they shoot arrows and have different skills.
Or were you just trolling me ?
What makes them different is that Hate control and positioning is far more important to Archers hence being able to remain locked onto your target while cooling off your emnity or knocking arrows for a large attack your not constantly garnering hate to pull off the tank. It's not as large an issue when the marauder draws hate because he is still goin to be within meele range of the monster.
From previous dev comments Mob ranged attacks may be going the way of the Dodo, and the last thing I want is archers blaming auto attack as to why they are ping-ponging the mob between them and the tank. Much like mages, Archers should be far more concerned about positioning than they are auto attack.
Thats my opinion though, it's far beyond multishot and bind.
I agree with you in regards to enmity but that should be taken into account based on the total DPS a class can do, if the tank can't hold hate from an archer then its either Archer's are overpowered or the tank you have chosen is not doing his job correctly. What makes them different is that Hate control and positioning is far more important to Archers hence being able to remain locked onto your target while cooling off your emnity or knocking arrows for a large attack your not constantly garnering hate to pull off the tank. From what I gather 1.19 will be taking a better look at enmity and whatnot so that's for a different discussion.
It's fair to assume that Mages will have control over their DPS so I do appreciate what you are saying.
Although if you look at WoW (I know I shouldn't bring it up) but as a mage or hunter (2 of the highest DPS classes in the game) I could pretty much DPS my ass off and very rarely steal hate from the a good tank, mainly because the game was balanced in a way that didn't allow me to do that, so maybe SE need to design the system with that in mind.
It's also worth mentioning that much of an Archers ability to steal hate is based on their TP and buff skills, which they would have full control over regardless of Auto-Attack.

It is true I am arguing for the sake of all sides being able to be heard. There is obviously a good deal of people concerned about Auto Attack on Archers, I'm trying to represent why I think it should be left off of archers as far as ranged attacks go. While I oviously don't represent anyone other than myself I think I have perfectly good reasons it should remain off archers.
I'm not saying I would cry if SE decided to put AA on Archers, I just feel it would be a blow to the class as a whole.
