I would like to note that there are also significantly less volatile strategies than the most popular one. Namely having a vertical line rather than a stack. If a player fails to dodge here they will only be hit by one plume. This takes a bit more coordination than stacking and requires players to known when tumults are (and then spread into the line towards the end of them).

This means players can move out of plume sooner (aren't risking their group's life) and that if a player messes up and is hit by plumes they will only get hit by 1.

The same applies to EX Garuda. The popular strategy might be to take Suparna and Garuda on the MT, but if he makes a mistake and eats 2 wicked wheels w/o cooldowns, you'll wipe, or the healer isn't ready to heal him right after etc. But there's the less popular strategy of DPS taking chirada, MT tanking garuda, and OT tanking suparna -- much less likely to wipe.

Well, if you can't do it on your own/with your friends, feel free to look to your friendly local extreme primal sellers for assistance

You can AFK and we'll 7man it - sell groups on Ultros also give any loot that drops to you when being carried through.

Basically, this thread shows for the umpteenth time the two main problems in every MMOs:

    1) There is a very vocal and aggressive minority of "elitists" who live in an absurd delusion, i.e. that being "good" at playing a game (or, really, just some features of a game) makes them better than "common mortals" and gives the right to freely insult them ("you suck" etc.).

    2) Game companies cater too much to this minority and dedicate to them far too many development resources, often jeopardising the "health" of the game in doing so.

Games managing to have a consistent success are those so good in other aspects (graphics, story, overall gameplay etc.) to overcome these two problems. Let's hope FF14 is one.

I'm confused what about the population of players who want challenging content to play without being a jerk to other players? Where does this fall into the equation.

I hope you realize that Titan Ex is optional and is in no way tied to main storyline. There's also another tier of difficulty for the exact same fight if you want to just "experience" the lore/story behind each primal.

So tell me, why do you feel like SE has wronged you by providing your so called "elitists" a small amount of content catered to them when the large majority of the game already caters to casual players (which isn't an inherently bad thing)?

Killing EX Titan doesn't make anyone good enough to be in an elitist tier, but elitists have nothing to cling to that is actually difficult so they use this fight.

Not in the aggressive minority, of course. Even the non-aggressive players can want challenging content, of course, no problem about that. Nor I am saying that games should not have challenging content.

What I mean is that in every MMO game I have played, it seems that after launch most of the resources are dedicated to creating a SPECIFIC type of challenging content for endgame, i.e. instanced raids... though only a minority of players play it!

Please compare the amount of "hard" content to "easy/casual" content and tell me how its being cartered too much.

Q: Will the extreme primal battles be part of the main scenario or will there be a quest line similar to the one for obtaining relic weapons?
A: Yes, it’ll be part of the main scenario. By progressing through quests you will unlock the first battle, after which you can move on to the next quest and the battle that follows.

If anything they are "more" main scenario than getting ingredients for the party in Costa del Sol.

main quest unlocks it. it is not part of the main quest. meaning u dont have to beat it to progress with the main storyline. same thing with coil. main quest unlocks it but its not part of the main story quest
