Titan Extreme is NOT Fun

I like difficult things. What I don't like is a fight that is a straight-up latency check with instant death if you happen to have lag at the wrong time. Since the maintenance right after Christmas, instances have been mostly unplayable for me during primetime because of lag spikes making the constant Insta-Death gimmicks undodgeable (however, I just tried it a couple hours ago at 6am, didn't have any lag, and it was pretty fun). Things that are beyond the player's control should be recoverable, IMO.

That's another thing... If that's what the OP means, then I'm sorry for my post, but as I understood it, he was complaining about how he has to learn the fight and be able to react fast (kind of)

I have experience of delay too, I live in Sweden, and I normally had 160 ping... which is (or was at least) noticeable when doing Primals, but the after the 0.1 sec position update improvement (was 0.3 sec before) and with some other tools (WTFast)... I haven't had much problem. If you have high ping, I recommend looking up how you can lower that number by using different DNS server or using WTFast(easier choice) for example.

The best thing would be for them to change these kind of content in the future though... But NOT make it easier. You can have engaging fights that is really hard, without requiring very good ping.

They can't account for people with 200+ ping though (sorry if you live very far away from server), that would ruin the content for the people who have acceptable ping.

Sadly if it's latency/lag issue that is stopping pple from beating endgame content, best thing to do is just not do them. In any ONLINE game there will always be lag or delays, so this isn't just a FFXIV problem.

The thing with FFXIV, though, is that I, and many others, only have a problem with FFXIV.

There just isn't that much new content in 2.1, which is why everyone is looking at the extreme modes and wondering why it's not for them. If only the new dungeons had dropped new sets or CT could be looted more than once a week. Casual players would have more to do than wish the extreme primals were easier.

I think the game should give the hardcore something to do and the extreme primals have done that. It's a good addition to the game. I agree. As a casual player I have taken a break from the game. I spend all this time I don't have studying for fights I can't win because I find can't seem to find a team that can do it with the time I have to play per day. Once I do CT and coil, I get myth capped and I am done for the week. 60 dungeons and PvP just seem pointless to me. My RNG luck sucks as well, I have only seen two casting drops since I have been doing coil. If it wasn't for myth gear, I would have quit already.

A mix between the environment mechanics found in games like Rift, GW2 and WoW, combined with the character job skill variety and specialty found in Ragnarok and bosses who use the environment, skills, and status effects would make for the perfect dungeon boss battles imo. Not only would the fights be stellar, but the skill specialties and niches allowed by customization ala Ragnarok would make for some fun party match-ups and allow for all classes to be important at different times.

I hope this is not what the developers had in mind when they created Titan. As I said before and I strongly believe. Titan X is a community divider.

Is it not already dividing the people into 2 main camps in the forums? And I believe this is just the beginning.

At this point in time. There is nothing else to do. I am locked out of Myth, CT, BcoB fast each week.

I cannot find good parties (in and out of FC) for Ultima to massive grind. The good ones grind extreme. And I sick of grinding up new classes, only to get stalled at ilvl70.

Do dailies. Help FC, etc.

Garuda X farming and Titan X is all I have left in the game. Not doing Titan X means not progressing. Because I want go gear up my characters.... And other then primal runs, I have no means to do so.

Give me more content that allows me to gear my toons up and all is good.

Part of the issue with Titan X is that there is near nothing else to do that is meaningful in anyway. Other then to sociallise with FC and help FC members. Which get boring after awhile especially when you do not get rewarded in anyway except someone passing the duty, especially if you have done the same content so many many times.

yeah unfortunately this is pretty much what we went through during the early days of release. people stuck on titan hm for weeks. it'll get better in time. but for now u should try PF on the first few days after reset. thats when the good ones clear their ex primals for the week.

Easy fix is easy: make falling off the platform impossible (by changing Geocrush so that it drops rocks around the edge to shrink the combat area rather than removing material from the dais) and make it impossible for more than one Weight of the Land to hit a single player. Adjust other mechanics upward to compensate for this change (i.e. make being hit by Landslide do considerable damage and stun for a long period of time).

and i have to say no for this suggestion. titan ex is not hard. u just have to be in a party where everyone knows what they're doing.
