The problem I see in content is over reliance on others. When we have that, great drama ensures and believe or not, slowly tears the community apart.

This is the nature of the beast, and there is no other way to do difficulty.

I meant rely as in the way Rochetm explained it. In FFXI pre abyssea you can always recover in fights if you have skilled enough players while in FFXIV doesn't matter how skilled you are if you can't burn the heart when someone falls.

And therein lies the challenge and difficulty. It is not a new concept in MMOs, nor will it pass anytime soon. Stuff on the ground, move out of the way. Its simple really, and you can somewhat predict it's pattern or at the very least know when it might occur. The difficulty isn't in the individual but the team as a whole to coordinate the pattern.

Same with needing enough DPS to burn a node before a wipe mechanic pops. Its simple gear check.

Then you did not play FFXI before Abyssea content was released. The game basically made you group with others after level 10 at minimum (BST excluded) if you wanted to level to 75. This is nothing new for an SE MMO, to make you want to group up with others to accomplish goals.

I have to say that when I first did Titan Ex, I thought it was a bit difficult but after many wipes and 2 weeks + later, I can dodge all of his abilities pre / post heart phase 99% of the time. I think the fight is very fun and I enjoy it very much. However I have yet to beat Titan. Most of the time, people would die during the pizza wheel in heart phase or get hit by bombs after heart phase. I am on a JP server and I have been doing almost all my Titan fights through DF. There are lots of Titan Ex parties on the server with almost all of the saying JP Only. The fun factor is slowly wearing off as I keep seeing people die in the fights. > <

just a tip. copy paste hello in japanese when joining jp only parties. thats all u need lol. they basically just want u to understand what they say. so google translate and respond with a simple yes no

Right ... I do not have the same experience. I even politely ask them if I could join. State that I am experience but have not cleared. Willing to listen via google translate to all they say.

Only so far one JP group allowed me to join. Many ignore me and tons more will say sorry ..... only JP.

I am sure more people have experience like me, from the amount of QQing thread about JP only parties.
