Make FFXIV more like FFXI and less like WoW

Don't forget BCNM. Those counted as end game back then also. But the biggest difference was that you could actually do them more then once a week.

bcnms are an equivalent to ffxiv's primal fights imo. Heck even in 1.0 you had to farm currency to enter them.

XI Primal fights are like XIV Primal fights, actually.

Bother require Full PT to kill and both give you weapons.

Not really sure I would compare them to primals. Not sure how it was in 1.0 though. But to me, end game has a lot to do with what drops your get. And besides HNM, BCNM was it when it came to drops.

Primals were really the only endgame at launch for 1.0 (outside of I guess hamlet). So ya you went there for the drops. Granted they were only weapons, but that was what you were farming in the same vein as farming bcnms back in the day.
