I would prefer a Titan: Table, Ladder and Chairs match instead. Also, put it on pay-per-view
I forgot one other important thing: PLD as offtank on adds makes it more ezmode. Tempered will makes the adds a joke.
I did macros for the whole rotation that I'm spammin all the timethe biggest issue with this fight is other players. Both the players that don't know the rotation and the extreme elitest jerks who put down other players for not knowing the rotation instead of helping them learn the rotation. Of course people are gonna lie and make excuses if everytime they make a mistake some PLD is there telling them their mother shouldn't have given birth to them because they got hit by some plumes. But its still not helpin for the majority, and everyone blame the lag ...
Not really.Seriously die because the enemy drops you to the lava and 90% of the times is because the lag...
you should not have to pre-dodge...you should be able to play the game "normal" and react to what the game is doing to you...it is that way in the entire rest of the game isn't it????? I can get through HM Titan no problem and have to "pre-dodge", I had to learn to but that does not make it any less stupid that the game is this way. I have noticed that it has gotten a little better like they said it would with 2.1...you don't have to pre-dodge as fast as before. I have not tried EM Titan yet but not looking forward to the pain in the ass again.
Server: BEHEMOTH
FC: CASCADIA
Playing since Beta phase 3
Yeah if someone really wants to learn the fight in detail there are plenty of youtube vids and guides on how to do it. Asking during the fight is just too complicated for most players to absorb and improve enough to actually win the majority of time.
This thread probably wouldn't exist if SE actually let the client determine who was in the hit box, and not the server.
The delay between animation and having the damage register is laughable and shameful on SE's part at the same time.
I'd just say keep doing what you're doing and chalk it up to bad luck. Eventually, you're gonna end up with 7 reasonably skilled players who can adapt.
I will say this: lag does happen. No where near to the level that people use it as an excuse, but it does. Also, I've found that if the OT loses hate on the egis right before they use single landslide, alot of times the landslide animation doesn't appear. I've gotten knocked off of the south edge with many other casters/healers who are well aware of the mechanics because of this lil glitch.
The only problem with Titan is Weight of the land. This ability is sometimes not possible to avoid. I have a very fast connection and have done titan countless times and have started running anticipating it coming up with classes like bard and am still sometimes not able to leave the circle in time to avoid. If the game does its .5 second check or whatever it is right before you leave the circle it doesnt matter how far you get out on your screen you are screwed. They need to either delay the explosion for half a second or lower the radius by a yalm. I think it is a great skill check that is just a tad too over tuned. It should be something that forces you to react instantly but should always be avoidable if reacted to.
I said this earlier- but seeing myself and other players dead way outside of the plume's area of effect is comical and irritating- especially when I am mocked by other player's who experience no latency. I was reading some other posts on the forums and the problem could be stemming from certain ISPs treating FF14 as a P2P.
Off topic, but, player's claiming that pre-moving is a solid option for mitigating plume latency should consider that if someone moves from plumes prematurely, they run the risk of pushing that plume farther which will damage the group- in turn- getting yelled at for not stacking correctly.
