My experiences?
I see 4-mans often shout for BRD + something else. 8-mans have more flexibility, but when groups want 2 BRD you have 2 slots for 4 classes (5 if they'll take a third BRD with them).

Groups want 2 bards for the silence. This is foolhardy in my opinion, but this patch won't change it unless there are changes to silence. Increasing the cooldown could cement their place as backup/emergency silence.
