    True, although I wouldn't be casting Stoneskin nonstop or anything. I'd cast it before a big hit, or even just between combos. The point I was trying to make is that its another tool for PLDs that WARs don't have and try to help quell the idea that WARs are OP if these changes are made. I think they are just more balanced and complement each other.

    Yeah, I've seen the videos. Also what you are not taking into account is the team make-up. They have their best healers and best DPS in there, killing things quickly and healers who are pushing 450-500 HPS (most if not full iLvl 90 gear). They have also been farming the content for some time. Your run of the mill WAR tank is not going to be able to do that, skilled and geared as they may be.

    In regards to the "blurring" between PLD and WAR... that isn't the problem, that was the solution. Post-patch, their abilities have different forms but similar functions, which is the best way to maintain the identity of each class while equalizing job performance.

    I've had a Block clip casting animations - Dodge check and can trigger whenever. I've had three Dodges in a row on PLD while in Hallowed Ground... I cried

    All those wasted Dodges.. ; ~ ;

    War will be better for short bursts of damage, Pld will be better for long periods of sustained damage. There will actually be a use for both instead of it only being PLD and PLD time only. Their abilities look like they will stack well together, and you will want both in a party to be truly effective and both can be MT or OT. That's how it's supposed to be.

    You lost me. How is making them similar help them maintain their identity? Because that's the issue I have with it: They're not supposed to be more alike now. I want war to do excellent things, but not be borrowing ideas from pld to do said excellent things.

    Mitigation is the most effective method to do this, it scales with content. In order to make sure War can do the same content as Pld, there has to be mitigation involved. Incoming heals do not count as much for mitigation as straight up damage reduction.

    If SE wanted to make self heals prominent, they would have to add astronomical numbers to them that would make the self healing broken without a doubt.

    A majority of Warrior's actions will be based on building/consuming Wrath V and actively working on our mitigation - rather than the current practice of holding on to it (Wrath V) and hoping our Healer saves us (I don't like being baby sat - hold Wrath V and pray is not exactly how I like identifying as a WAR, but that's what we do right now because our mitigation sucks). Alternating combos to maintain buffs and debuffs is becoming even more of a thing with these changes.

    Changing a few effects so that WAR scales just as well as PLD does nothing to it's identity - well other than doing away with the "not as good as a PLD" identity it's got currently.

    WAR QQ

    So.... Now WAR will have the dominate HP. dominate Damage. and as of 2.1 really good mitigation. Hmmm , why should I play PLD again? I have both leveled , and have had both leveled for years lol. Problem is been doing Coil for 3 months now and haven't seen 1 piece of Heavy Allagan drop. In turn this has led to me getting full iLVL90 Af+1 for PLD. So now if WAR becomes the more logical tank class ( and with these changes I think it will easily surpass PLD ) , I get the joy of grinding another 3 months for WAR relic+1 and armor. This is just awesome! ( Sarcasm ). I truly miss WAR being able to either Tank or do amazing DMG. It had multiple functions and could wear a large diverse amount of gear. Now it has been dumbed down to just a tank. I've seen this happen before ..... OOhhhh that's right , 1.0 people would never use a PLD lol... Ahhh the good ole days lol

    Eager to hear other peoples thoughts on this. Mainly people who have played both jobs vigorously.
