    That will depend on what the extreme mode is for. So lets say they drop armor ok great one problem is it better than coil, answer: probably not. If it is for a FC to summon the said primal than the effort vs the reward would be worth it. If something offers a challenge the reward needs to be just as great. Unfortunatly from the looks of it the extreme modes are only there to keep or try to keep players busy and offer nothing thats better than the current ilvl 90 stuff. Now seeing as we have already had easy and hard and now we are getting extreme primals, it really is getting old that they keep rehashing the current content instead of bringing something completely new to the table.

    Sorry, broke this up a bit so I could read it better.

    I'm wondering if it would be ok to be putting this additional content for something more consumable.. say... gil, simply. We keep running into this debate that if we make content hard it should be 'worth it' but I have to question why, and does it always have to be in a manner that allows the victors to continually hold their victories over the heads of others. Power creep is a real concern when it comes to introducing new content and I'm ALL for side-grades for the sake of variety in the game.

    Maybe the extremes can be done for items that upgrade Primal Weapons to a +1 version that's comparable (read:not equal) to a Relic +1? I don't like the linear progression we currently have, and if we have to deal with power creep, at least we should have a wider variety of running the treadmill.

    I agree totally~!

    What happened to casting whenever too near to an element and getting aggro from it??

    What happened to walking into a high level area surrounded by undead and if low on health, you would get swarmed by them?

    What happened to some areas that needed sneak and others that needed invisibility?

    What happened to pulling a mob in some areas and getting a link, hence therefore getting more than 1 mob coming at your group/you.

    What happened to NMs or HNMs which was exciting as hell not to mention the item drops were always worth your time ?

    I'm not saying that end game should be camping HNMs since that gets boring and repetitive but something in between would be great..

    I can keep going but my point is, the way this is now, it is far far too easy. Hell, you are even told what mobs aggro and which don't and when you do get aggro, as someone mentioned here, hit sprint and run for 3 seconds and that's that...

    For me those little but important touches are what made FFXI such a challenging and fun game.

    FFXIV is great don't get me wrong, but nothing compared to the skill/quick thinking that was needed in XI.

    I need something to do other than grind gear from instance A so I can then proceed to grind gear in instance B which will enable me to go to instance C to get more gear. I lost my taste for that type of endgame a long time ago. I hate to say it, but I'd really like some pet battles or battlegrounds right about now. WoW keeps me playing because even if I don't feel like raiding or grinding instances, there's a lot more to do. I can go find new pets, go kill rares for cool fluff items, participate in pet battles, hop into some battlegrounds, tend to my farm, go hunt for vanity items, do some scenarios, group up for achievement runs for mounts/titles, etc. I know it's not fair to expect that much content from a newly released game, but the fact is that I'm paying to play the game, and if one offers more than the other, chances are I'm going to play the one that has more content. The only saving grace for this game (for me) is that it's Final Fantasy and a new MMO.

    I want to see Extreme Mode for current primals and Burning Circles for new Primals. That way you actually have to travel to the "beastmen" strongholds.
