I'll be honest if you want SE to answer this tell everyone playing the game to stop doing end-game since it supposedly doesn't and won't work - SE can see statistics of what people do, if they notice no one able to do end-game or progress they'll see the "severe problem", otherwise...as always, what the vocal group of people say compared to what's happening in the game is obviously a clash of standards which is why SE hasn't "responded to the game being unplayable" as this topic would lead someone to believe.

As the OP says: "It's a major flaw that no MMO community would accept", yet people are doing end-game just fine. So as I said you more than likely want to try to get people to boycott doing broken content if you want to force an answer.

Looking forward to PvP where this problem would be glaringly obvious.

Hence: You'll want to get people to stop playing otherwise SE won't really "see" the problem if people are utilizing their product day by day. As someone said, it's an MVP, that was the entire purpose of ARR to begin with - People said over and over during 1.x that making an MMO like FFXI or 1.x or anything other than an "MVP" type of MMO won't sell or be successful, so in all reality..we only have players to blame as well for the product we got.

In terms of MMOs, you say the combat system is the most unresponsive you've experienced, GCD would do that - Yet you'll also have groups of people feeling otherwise about the system - What is SE supposed to really..comment on if you have people perfectly fine with the game and experiencing no issues and others the complete opposite? No matter what SE says (just look at their responses to other subjects) people will still feel SE is doing "nothing" about issues.

Okay, I'll bite, even though this reeks of trolling.

So lets say I clear Titan HM with no issues (Which currently, I do). Does that mean I am more "skilled" than the average person who is currently having problems?
If this was Guild Wars 2, where there is even more red zones/circles than this game and it's far less forgiving in Fractal Dungeons (Difficulty Level 10-20+ where Agogy Debuffs are applied without red zones and you have to dodge based on the combat animation itself/or the flying death ray/ball coming your way); then yes, that would be true. Because in that game, this 0.3 internal delay, nor the other latency/lag issues exist. You dodge and when you do, you really do dodge. If you get hit, it will be clear to you and everyone in the group why you got hit (You'll be inside the red zone as you take damage, not outside).

    Now, FFXIV.
Here, you play a memory game. And you can not tell me that you do not. You and me have both memorized the mechanics to the point we do not react to the red zones, we just react based on memory.
This is how you beat Titan HM and other similar bosses. You play a memory game, lock in the pattern of attacks and hope you're ahead of the red zones; otherwise... you know what happens.

Square Enix needs to address this if they hope to have an enjoyable game; not an often frustrating memory game.
While I and I am certain everyone in this thread, has and for as long as they can put up with the frustration, will continue to support the game; everything and everyone has their limits and when patience is tested, that limit is often reached sooner than later.

The main issue isn't that you can't do these things (dodging, interrupting, etc.), but that it's just not fun to do them.

When you see yourself succeeding on your screen, sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it fails, but every time it feels like random: "oh, ok, this time I got the position check on my side." — "oh, ok, this time, it was off so I got hit." Neither feels fair, neither feels justified, neither succeeding nor losing feels logical. It's just random.

In Coil for instance, I used to eat about half the AoE's, even though I dodged (on my screen) most of them. I could interrupt (stun/silence) but it failed a bit too often when clearly my animation was over before the enemy's cast bar had ended. The healers would heal me every time I missed. We would wipe every time I failed to interrupt. So in a way, yeah, it works 50% of the time. But every time I failed it was so frustrating that, basically, it was killing all the fun. It's exactly like managing to headshoot your enemies and the game telling you "nope, no headshot, that one is still running". Not fun. At all. Which is why I never set foot again in Coil. Which is why, though I always accepted to run Titan HM for my companions, I dreaded every single try, seeing people getting hit by landslide or WotL while hearing them on TS say "BUT I DODGED THAT!". Not fun. At all.

I don't play a game to get frustrated. Hard, I enjoy. Unfair, it frustrates me. So a few weeks later, I unsubbed. And I'm not coming back until I hear people telling me first-hand that latency is no longer an issue.
